Keymasteras we discover that the Charmings may have had an opportunity to reunite with Emma long before they did.”
I don’t…understand.

KeymasterDo you mean the Greek message from Firebird or the most recent “Final Chapter” in Mother’s Little Helper? I recall that you successfully translated the Greek message to mean “only a heart full of true love could pass” (or something like that), but that it wasn’t clear because the word was agape, the Greek word for divine love, not eros, the Greek word for romantic love. To clarify, I wonder if anyone has figured out how to decipher runes to read the Final Chapter.
Whoops my bad. To clarify my end then, lol: No translation for the current thing but I’m not sure they are runes. Think @gaultheria is right–its shorthand like a journalist might use. Which fits nicely with Henry’s role as the author and keeps us spoiler free, like you said

KeymasterOf course, knowing this audience, someone will try and decipher it the way we did the Greek message in Firebird. Has anyone managed to figure it out yet?
I had translated it for the podcast way back when. And i think I translated it for the filming thread when we had a close up of the words. Check there?

KeymasterNeverland is looking very….Vancover-y
“Get the pirate. Make him pay!” Seriously the dialogue on the show lately…
I don’t know how I feel about Tiger Lily.

KeymasterIf the writers had any sense, they would end it at the end of this season
this.
I agree that OUAT without Emma isn’t really OUAT; but I also would say that applies to Snow and Charming and Regina and Rumple. We’re losing at least half of that! Don’t *do* this writers. This is something quite a few of us have touched on—end the show with dignity and don’t try to do a hard reboot in order to eek out 12-22 more episodes.

KeymasterBut no new family member does verify that the little girl is not Henry’s daughter, right?
Appears so. Not Henry’s and not CS’s.

KeymasterI really like the idea that Blue and Black were originally one person who split into light and darkness and that they need to merge back together into one being. The light living within the dark and the dark thriving with the help of the light. It’s sooooooo meaty and symbolic for this show. That’s my dream ending!
The non-dream ending is that Rumple or Emma kill Black Fairy with some sort of heretofore unmentioned object.

KeymasterALSO – the much bigger plot hole. Why on earth wouldn’t the Evil Queen have told Regina about the failsafe if she had truly been redeemed/trying to help. It is a pretty big thing to forget to mention – that could result in one or both of Charming/Snow dying.
Yeah that.

KeymasterAnyway, come on writers, you have a solution already: simultaneous TLK. Again, continuity please and no more convolution. How can they expect a renewal after this? #askthenerd
Easy. Because the people who decided on cancellation or renewal at ABC aren’t writers and artists. They’re businessmen/women. They don’t really care if a show is logically consistent or has a good solid narrative with refreshing characters. They care about how much money they can get from ad buyers with that show. While on a personal level the execs might have shows they really like (Paul Lee was apparently known for this and would renew some of his pet projects even when it wasn’t financially smart–ie, Galavant S2) it all comes down to the $$. ABC can still make decent money on OUAT through the commercials aired, the products sold, and the Disney tie ins. So, while the show is slowly getting more holes than a leaky rowboat, the execs don’t particularly care.

KeymasterOur series low will be whatever the number is for this Sunday. Which has barely been promoted by ABC. So score on them for that.
This has been a really weird week. We only got our PR Wednesday afternoon….
There are no pictures either – isn’t that odd? I don’t feel like ABC have handled this well at all.
Very odd. This season they’ve been doing everything like clockwork until this week.
