Now, it’s worth noting that OUAT is the very last item in the red zone and that there are several other ABC shows ahead of it. Still…interesting.

Yup. @MatthewPaul has an interesting theory though that ABC has decided to hold off on showing 617 until after Easter in order to avoid another demo drop.

I think Gideon’s murder plan had something to do with Emma’s attitude. It takes a special kind of savior to forgive that sort of thing; maybe we’ll see that in this weekend’s episode.
I agree it takes a special kind of Savior but I think what bothers me is the line Emma draws in the sand about how she gave Gideon two chances and she’s not giving him a third. How many times did Regina try to mess up Emma’s life in S1? Regina actually tried to poison Emma and ended up poisoning their son! And yet, when Emma came back from the Enchanted Forest she invited Regina to dinner with the whole family claiming that it was reward for Regina helping the gang get home. So, yes, Gideon hasn’t been helping the family but the idea that there are no more chances is disconcerting given everything his family has been through with Regina, Hook, Rumple, Cora, ect.
I also find it a little unbelievable that someone–anyone–wouldn’t look at Gideon and not realize 1) he’s clearly been seriously abused by the Black Fairy and 2) he’s missing his heart. It’s a good canon compliant answer to Gideon but the fact that neither Regina nor Emma nor Rumple can’t simply tell that he’s heartless is a little…odd. Heck, Rumple could tell it about Cora by being her presence.

Yes they were blank, IIRC. There were also books in the library in NYC when Henry and Violet went to do research. I don’t think anything has come of either of those two sets of books?
