Lets face it – Rumple is involved with literally everyones stories some way or another. So even if he’s dead in present day, they will still need Bobby for Flashbacks. And THAT could be what they’re negotiating with him for.
Yes. I think his negotiations are to be downgraded to guest star, maybe 3- 4 episodes an arc (11 episodes). That way he can stay in Vancity with his family, which was his first and most major concern, but be free to pursue the Indie movie scene which he loves so much.

Emma, Snowing, Belle, etc are all separated from the people staying through some magical means and are then taken to the EF where they will wait till the series finale next year to be reunited with them. Hook, Regina, and others search for a way to find them.  Hook and Emma are reunited as husband and wife and live HEA. Regina and Snowing are reunited and Henry is reunited with one of his mothers.
I suppose that’s my preference. I hate the idea of two major characters just being “out there” without some really good excuse?
