KeymasterI agree that realism is a problem but I think the biggest is lack of coherent world building. Nothing plot wise nor character wise matters because the writers can change on a dime whenever they see fit, either for a better idea or because they simply don’t care to keep things consistent. This fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants world building doesn’t work because not only does magic not make sense (or just any random plot device) but it also means big concepts like what good or evil actually *is* are so ill defined that it’s hard (if not impossible) to tell a story.

KeymasterIt reminds me of TAHITI, from Agents of SHIELD, so I’m guessing the B-story is about Robin’s resurrection gone wrong.
Possibly but all rumors suggest that Robin’s mini arc is over the episode previous, Page 23.

KeymasterSounds like it’s going to be a very Snow-lite half season.

KeymasterI’m really torn about this show. On the one hand I like the costumes and the general plot of a timey wimey historical romp with a large overreaching mythology. The problem is sort of two fold in that the mythology isn’t going anywhere at a good pace (the finale did some leg work in this regard but it’s all still so clouded) and secondly, like some others have said, I don’t think they’re doing a bang up job with characters. I agree that Flynn is the most interesting but they are also keeping us on the dark.
I’m really starting to believe that Lucy was Flynn’s wife but through all the drama Lucy will end up with Wyatt instead–abd wouldn’t that change the entire plot of the show? If Flynn never loses Lucy and their daughter…then it all never happens? But that’s a double edge sword cause if Flynn never looses his family he never steals the mother ship and then Lucy and Wyatt are never recruited? Time travel, man. But that’s another problem with Timeless, they haven’t set out their own world rules except “what we want to happen, happens.”
I’ll still be watching come January and I hope for a second season because its not great but it’s fun at sometimes that counts for a lot.

They were quite noisy, but his reaction to them seemed more like someone thats never seen it before
Okaaaay.

KeymasterIf Regina didn’t cast the curse, then theoretically any character who died in Storybrooke isn’t dead. So Graham, Pan, Felix, Johanna, and Ingrid are all still alive.
Pan and Felix would still be in NVL and Ingrid in Arendelle but yes to the others. However, I’d really rather NOT have a giant reunion episode. They had their chance with that in the Underworld; bringing back long dead characters again just because “now plot twist!” is…lame. Especially when the characters will be gone once more when the “new plot twist!” is untwisted

This veering dangerously close to a bad place. Let’s remember to be respectful and less snarky, mmkay? That goes for all ships and all sides.

Keymaster*sigh*
Really? We’re doing this again? I’m not saying this as a way to shut down conversation but…why? After–what–fiveish years of constant fighting and arguing does anyone really think they have the necessary linchpin to sway someone to the other side?
People like Hook for valid reasons. People do not like Hook for valid reasons. And still others simply shrug and care deeply neither way.
The only thing this is proving is that Hook is still a divisive character because–oh,shocking–texts are subjective and we read them differently based on our own morals, experiences and ideas about right/wrong, good/bad. Everyone’s argument is boiling down to “if you can’t see X then I don’t know what to tell you…”
But by all means….debate away. Even though it’s 100% futile.
(But for the love of heaven, blacken out your spoilers! Even allusions to future events are spoilers. As they have been for 6, years.)
