Keymaster. If he is going to kill people and plot to harm others, Belle setting boundaries and limiting or cutting off access to her and their child is called being responsible
To play devil’s advocate, though, is he planning to do that? Because he said that he could be a better man, but not different. I take that to mean he’d stop killing the peasants. Did she give him a chance or just demand a change in behavior and when her demands were unanswered, she withheld affection, support, and acceptance. I think the problem is that we often have a hard time rationalizing this Belle with “I love him. All of him, even the parts that belong to the darkness.” I don’t blame Belle for wanting to protect herself and her son but she’s apparently ALWAYS known what sort of depravity Rumple could sink–torturing Robin, using a baby for his own agenda, ect–and still that never stopped her from loving him, fighting for him, advocating for him, or wanting to be with him. I don’t want to say mixed signals but…mixed signals.
These two need to flipping TALK not just act. It’s one of the biggest flaws of this show–no one actually talks, really sits down and discusses much. Conversations that are needed get reduced to one scene or not at all.

Keymasterwhat does Belle *not* being abusive look like? While still protecting her from Rumple’s abuse, and protecting her safety, personal agency, and basic-dignity?
I think not waffling as much as she does is a good start–I mean one week Rumple’s not allowed any contact, any communication, any say in raising the child; the next she’s giving him ultrasound pictures. It’s not so much boundaries as unfair bargaining but not hearing what the other person is saying.
Communication is a REAL real real real problem with these two. Belle doesn’t want to hear what Rumple is telling (I can be better, but not different) and she does have a tendency (lately) to say truly nasty things to him (I no longer see the man, only the beast).
It’s an ugly relationship.
She can’t fix him, he needs to fix himself.
I agree.

KeymasterThe explanation we sorta got was that he used Pan’s shadow to get back.
And the coconut!

KeymasterThey do take a nice break for the holidays, though. So it might be that a lot of the next episode is shot indoors and then they go on break.

KeymasterP.S admin I don’t know why these ideas are blacked out. They refer to past events in past seasons, and then have theories based on these, so I don’t think they are in anyway spoilers?
Yeah they don’t need to be. Thanks for the effort guys but it’s not totally necessary!
About the theory: interesting!

KeymasterWell there’s always the magic aging dust thing….if it were used on a baby….
Yeah the dust could come back into play. Just don’t know who would use it or why.

KeymasterThe Reaper’s latest predictions. Nothing has changed for OUAT. It’s still very likely to be renewed. ABC has already axed two shows (Notorious and Conviction) and there are shows closer to cancellation than OUAT.

I still am predicting Quantico will fail in the new Monday slot and will be cancelled by May; also predicting that Secrets and Lies will be cancelled. I think AoS will get a surprise renewal because ABC/Disney can milk it for one more season (sorta like OUAT).

KeymasterSomething about the coconut and a shadow but it was left mostly unexplained. He didn’t have a ship like the gang did when they left NVL…

Keymasteris there a place that makes people age that Blue could have taken Gideon?
Maybe, though one wonders why Blue would take the infant to that place knowing what it would do. It’s not like Rumple would age if the journeyed there trying to find Gideon.

Keymaster3×11 “Beware the Green-Eyed Monster” thoughts!
*sigh* I’m gonna have to change my profile picture, aren’t I? Why can’t I have nice things??
GENERAL: You know what? In spite of all the Nygmobblepot angst and heartbreak, I really liked (kinda loved, actually) this episode. I wish the CoO story was getting where it’s going with answers a bit faster, but the season has felt nicely cohesive–Indian Hill to Tetch to Alice’s blood, all of which ties back to whatever the CoO is doing with Fake!Baby!Batman and the other inmates. Barnes isn’t exactly an outlier but he doesn’t fit as nicely as everything else or maybe it’s just that his story wasn’t anywhere near as compelling as the others. I’m really hoping that Gotham has found its sweet spot and will stay with this kind of storytelling post break and into S4.
LIKED
–“There will be another dead body tomorrow!” In Gotham, there’s always another dead body.
–Ed in his green suit. Yeah, the crush is real.
–“Did you just fake-cough Penguin?” The entire Barbara/Ed scene was fantastic. The show did good when they made Barbara a crazy nut job.
–The Mad Hatter got himself a paper mache hat to go with his Arkham jumpsuit. Bless.
–Jim Gordon sucks at making riddles.
–The “business partners” conversation with Ed and Oswald…there goes my heart shattering into a million pieces. I’m a masochist. I KNEW this would end badly but it didn’t stop me from shipping this so hard.
–“You’re my best friend as well, Oswald. Remember that.” LOOK, I DIDN’T ASK FOR THIS. I DON’T DESERVE THIS.
–Usually I’m very blah on Jim and Lee but the “please don’t marry him” moment was actually quite sad/sweet/moving. There was actually some chemistry and heart there.
–Lee’s wedding dress is stunning. Morena is such a classic beauty.
–Selina walking on that tightrope…it’s like she’s a cat or something (wink wink)
–“I want to take away everything he loves.” But that’s you, you silly man! See there’s something going on here. Ed has to be playing some sort of game. That’s what the Riddler does!
MIXED
–Will Lee actually believe that Jim was protecting her? The knife going into the river seems like a sign we’re not done with Jim/Lee drama. That’s not exactly a good thing.
DISLIKED
–Holy anticlimactic storyline, Baby!Batman. The magic safe opens and reveals…a statue?
–I’m not sure I care all that much about Selina’s mother?
MISC. THOUGHTS
–OMG! Have you guys seen the promo for Spring?!?! JEROME IS COMING BACK!
