RumplesGirl
KeymasterI imagine Jack, Jill and their baby were one offs that will never been seen from again. I think this episode title was called “Changelings” just to refer to the whole fairies kidnapping babies thing, and nothing more.
Given that they had no lines at all, I agree.

Keymasterhe was misunderstood and had horrible abusive parents.
Having horrible and abusive parents is definitely a factor to elicit sympathy but I don’t know how comfortable I am in erasing all Rumple did because “hey, traumatic past!” We aren’t doomed to repeat these cycles of violence. There does come a point when you (well, Rumple) have to accept responsibility for your actions as YOUR actions. Rumple taking that darkness back in the first place was a big indicator, for me, that his past traumas aren’t playing as major a part as the writers maybe wanted in the beginning.

KeymasterI cannot see any positive way this story will end for Rumbelle. If Rump dies, even as a way to redeem himself, his child grows up fatherless and he continues that cycle. If he lives, he still cannot be trusted ever again and I don’t think i’d be okay with that.
I agree with this. There is no way to fix Rumbelle in my opinion. Rumple can apologize all he wants but it doesn’t erase what he did. And Belle can agree to open lines of communication but it doesn’t change her constant waffling.

KeymasterI guess Rumpel will end up in genie cuffs by the end of this season.
Interesting. Don’t think anyone has hypothesized that one.

KeymasterQuantico is moving to Mondays starting January 23rd.
Quantico is not long for this world, then. I’d wager ABC is trying to stabilize their Sunday nights.

KeymasterGoing back to my question then, who named Rumple if not his mom? Was it his dad? I wonder if we’ll ever see a backstory of Rumple’s parents together.
I won’t say no because on this show anything is possible but honestly I sorta doubt it. This reveal struck me as the writers trying to kill two birds with one stone. Go back through any number of Hot Seats and you’ll see two questions pop up almost without fail: will we ever see the Black Fairy and will we see Rumple’s mother?
A and E must know their show isn’t long for this world and I think it’s important to remember that these are two guys who worked on LOST and saw that, to this day, Damon and Carlton get hammered with “you didn’t answer any questions!” They want to avoid that so they’ve decided to answer questions as quickly and clumsily as possible. So sure, the Black Fairy became Rumple’s mother no matter how many questions it spawned at the same time.

KeymasterYeah pretty sure that turned out to be Merida and A and E openly admitted to lying in order to not spoil.

KeymasterUnless she became a fairy after she abandoned her son. I think that is more likely as Fairies aren’t allowed to fall in love, right?
Three things
1) Blue knew her as the Black Fairy–or at least a Fairy–before she went dark
2) Since when does sex automatically equate to love?
3) While they aren’t allowed to fall in love, they clearly do as evidenced by Nova and Dreamy.

KeymasterLike @AKA I have no idea where to start so I’ll just answer my string of questions.
1) Abusive, yes
2) Rumple is the bad guy but Belle is also a waffling shrew.
3) There is ZERO hope for this ship. At least there shouldn’ be. Nothing should be powerful enough to counteract what’s happened not only this season but all seasons since 3B. There is no apology big enough, there is no deed grand enough to fix this. And if the writers really think there is, then I got a bridge to sell them. And a plot of land. And some racing horses.
4) Yeah Belle was right to send Gideon away but NOT with Blue! Like, are you kidding me? Also, I sorta think Gideon should just be sent away in general from both his parents.
