Rumple hurting children was actually pretty taboo at one point. Also, whenever he bargained for children, it wasn’t actually the child he wanted. It was an elaborate set up. Regina was the exception but that played into his over all storyline of the Dark Curse and Bae.
I don’t know. There’s some pathos in what Rumple says and does in this peek that reveals the man behind the beast again (and about a child which is keeping with his original characterization) but…I’m so meh about Rumple, Rumbelle, and this season as a whole that this scene only adds to the idea that the writers are just writing for the sake of writing and not with any clear intention in mind.

–AU No-Dark-Curse storyline probably means no Henry but…how long does it even last? Cause we’ve seen them back in SB (with Robin)…so I’m guessing it only lasts a few episodes

While that’s true, S1 and S2 are miles apart in terms of ratings and ad buys than S6. It was safer to have a messed up schedule because the viewers came back in droves and the ad buyers saw that. But a messed up schedule like that now (with ratings being what they are) isn’t going to help the network. However, there is historical evidence that leaving OUAT off the air for several months and then bringing it back midseason works for the show–steady ratings at the least. Look at the ratings for the back half of any season after we went to splits.
I don’t think this has anything to do with any sort of final season hurrah. I think we’re getting renewed for a S7 in large part because ABC can’t cancel everything even though the numbers for multiple shows would mean the axe only a few years ago.

And didn’t Regina once use a car or something? In other words, it’s not just mirrors but any reflective surface. LOL maybe there’s a separate “other reflective surface” world

Bravo to the show for pulling off a brilliant twist. We all said it was Nate, thinking Wes was 100% in the clear but NOPE.
I think Frank set the explosions. But as for who killed Wes…I dunno. Frank seems to obvious, right?
