If pregnant Cinderella stayed in a perpetual state of about-to-pop pregnancy for 28 years, that means that babies in utero couldn’t grow. Everyone was stuck biologically in the same state they were in when the curse hit, which means that menstrual cycles weren’t a thing, therefore, no one could get pregnant.

Yes. So the question becomes could she get pregnant before the Curse.

I like the poison curse that is out there, as I think Cora cursed George’s wife, and maybe Regina too. It could even be a tragic mistake thing, where Cora made it to curse George’s wife, but Regina had some too.

    well that’s tragic.

Do we know this as a fact? Regina wasn’t cursed, and as such, she could have potentially gotten pregnant despite the fact that time stood still. Maybe she didn’t know if it was her or the curse causing her infertility.

I don’t know. I’m trying to rationalize that in my head. Time stood still for her personally, she didn’t age. And I think that means that no life can grow inside you.

vote for Regina having been cursed to be barren the same way that King George poisoned Snow to be barren in “Lady of the Lake.” Maybe it was all part of either Peter Pan’s or Rumple’s master plan. He needed Regina to not get pregnant in the EF, else she might not see SB as her happy ending (a baby might’ve diverted her plans for revenge). Also, Rumple might’ve foreseen that the way Emma would break the curse at age 28 would be maternal love for Henry. And the only way to get the savior to SB was for Regina to be barren and therefore need to adopt Henry.

What if THAT’s what Tink did???

The Hansel and Gretel thing is the only thing making me question if she actually could have wanted to get pregnant in FTL. If she wanted to prevent getting pregnant with either Leopold or Graham, I’m sure she could have easily arranged that. Modern world contraception isn’t the only form of birth control there’s ever been, so I’m sure they had condoms of some description in FTL, but even if not, Regina could have magiced herself up some contraception.

Maybe by the H and G incident she was already too far gone into the Evil Queen mode. It took Owen and realizing that she wanted a real new life for all to click. She does tell Kurt, “what’s the point of a fresh start if you have no one to share it with?” So with H and G, she realized that maybe she does want kids or a family, but she wants it HER way, for them to forsake their father. Then when they reject her, she moves further into the EQ mode. Then Owen happens and that old desire is awakened, but this time she’s screwed because of the Curse.

Did Regina keep herself from getting pregnant in FTL? Maybe it’s a pretty basic potion and she was using it keep herself childless because she didn’t love Leopold at all. Then when she got to SB, the Curse prevented her from getting pregnant because time stood still.

But it does work out rather nicely for PP and gang, doesn’t it? Which makes me wonder if they had some sort of hand in her barrenness.

I know that but that’s Ginny and Emma and Colin playing around, not giving out something that would be A MAJOR SPOILER.

Also, the Keck spoiler is WANTING to get pregnant. Emma does not want to be pregnant. She wants to find her son. She doesn’t suddenly want another child. In her words, “help me get my son back, or get out of the way”

I think for sure we know it’s not Emma. No way she WANTS to get pregnant this season. Not when she’s trying to find Henry.

Ugh, for some reason Casper-Peeves won’t let me use the chat feature on the forum.

*twitch* this ghost and I are going to have words

Yet I don’t think Regina it was just the curse which prevented Regina from getting pregnant. I think she’s always been infertile. We don’t know if Regina and Leopold had marital affairs, except once to say they probably consummated the marriage on the wedding night to seal the deal. Also, we know the Evil Queen was using the huntsman for sex in the EF, which was a few years before the curse was ever cast. So, if Regina were fertile, she should have fallen pregnant in the EF.

I think it was maybe both. Maybe this is when she realizes it’s her not the curse.

Ok, so Lisa was nice enough to make a thread wholly devoted to this tease by Mr. Keck.

My money is on either Regina or Belle

Not Belle. She wants Rumple and Bae to work out their issues without trying to saddle Rumple with another kid.

My money is on Regina on the past in 309. This is when she decides to adopt Henry after she fails at getting pregnant.

    but WANTS to get pregnant.

honestly, I think this is the most important part. Before we explode with baby names, it’s “wants” have a baby.

Or it would be Snow in present wanting to get pregnant, but I cannot see that happening in the midst of the NL adventure, unless it is a dream.

I wonder if they are going to live dream lives that seem very full and realized while in NL. Something like, if you’ve ever seen Star Trek has happened in a few episodes. It would let the writers do a bunch of “What If” scenarios as the characters imagine all sorts of things.

It does seem very random. Unless it’s a dream.

I’m changing my bet to Regina in the SB past. And this a tease of episode 309
