I’ve been looking at S2’s again. Man those were creative. They screamed “we are both” which was one of the major themes! If you show these photos to someone, they’d have no idea this season was about NL and PP.

Yet people who are meant to do this stuff as a profession, who no doubt had an entire production meeting about it, all they could come up with is, “put her in a dress with no makeup and have here stand there and pout”. Like, seriously? Oh, and in my ranting, I forgot to mention that that CaptainSwanFire photo is utterly adorable and I’m glad they finally published it.
I really wanna hear your takes on the rest. The Hook photo is by far the worst. What is his face? Why does he look like he has white hair? What is with the terrible blurry!!!
The CSF photo was the bright spot today.

They’ve got her standing there looking unimpressed in a princess dress that we’ve seen her mother wear previously with a big smile on her face. They coulda roughed Emma’s face and hair up more, stuck her in a NL jungle setting, and had multiple shots of her struggling with the dress. Hitching it up to step over a big log, climbing a tree, just sitting in a heap in the dirt looking lost, stuff like that. It could have been really fun and fitting, the reluctant princess coming to terms with who she was born as, while roughing it in the wilds of NL.
This is a FANTASTIC idea for an Emma shot. Her just standing in the gown doesn’t make sense. But her trying to fight against the dress (her destiny and heritage) makes a ton of sense.

I think that is too much, all these layers on top of layers. I think PP has been manipulating pretty much everything we saw in season 1-2 and once it’s been told, it’s almost a new total arc. Maybe focused on trying to get home as a family instead of fighting each other so much.

Long ago, Blue was in love with a mortal man. But like all mortal men, this one was dying. So she enchanted a knife that when plunged into her TL’s heart would make him immortal so they could live together forever. The only problem was that it made him evil. He became the first Dark One. Blue, in a panic, didn’t think things through and hired a mercenary to kill the Original Dark One with the enchanted dagger but instead, all magic comes with a price, and the mercenary became the next Dark One. And on and on it went. This is why Blue doesn’t think fairies should fall in love, ti ends badly. So she hardened her heart against TL and decided to play both sides of the field, working for whatever side she thought would “win” in the situtation.
