I don’t know if the question “is Henry magical” is as important as “why is Emma?” Emma is not just magical, she is maybe one of–if not the most–most magical people alive, including Regina and Rumple. She is just untrained. Her magical ability is so strong and dominant that I wouldn’t be surprised that a little bit of that has passed to Henry.
As to why Emma is magical: maybe it has something to do with the amount of hardships Snow and Charming have had to face. Their TL has been so tested time and time again and yet remained strong that it somehow made Emma magical. I know that seems like a really cliche answer but it’s all I got at the moment. OR PP had a hand in all this. The Curse was going to need a Savior, so manipulate the child of the two people who are at the center of the Curse–Snow and Charming–in order to produce that Savior.

Now that he has no qualms about using magic for his own purpose, he could easily heal his limp, plus he’s smart enough to know that walking around in a jungle with a cane is going to hinder his plans. Also, we know from another interview which asked him about his modern day Gold suits that in 301, at the beginning, that would be addressed, that Rumple was “below deck” messing with things dealing with clothing. And, perhaps most importantly, no one tells Rumple what to do. If the rest of the group says he can’t go off by himself, Rumple will giggle and go anyway. It’s a flaw of him, but it’s Rumple. Plus, we know from SDCC and D23 that Rumple has his own plan, he’s not interested in working with the group.

"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"But that’s what Jane is saying. Not all babies born of True Love are magical. Ella’s baby was also born of TL, but she’s not magical. Emma is; not only is she born of true love but there is something else that makes her as powerful as she is. I don’t think being born in a location has anything to do with the abilities. It’s genetic. I have brown hair not because I was born in Ohio but because my parents passed on those genes to me. Take another example, an Egyptian born in America would still look Egyptian. Genetics! So Henry is the child of two people from FTL, one of whom is literally true love incarnate. I would be very surprised he doesn’t have some magical ability. And, Henry doesn’t hate magic, not really. He became weary of seeing those he loves use it for ill instead of good. Deep down he’s still the boy we met in Season One who was enchanted by fairy tales and magic.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"I’m thinking 303 is just about done then. And 304 doesn’t involve MAP or GOAT. It is a Rumple episode but myabe Rumple is back with the other JR6 at this point.
I wonder what the flashback for 304 is, if there is one. We know that not every episode is going to have the same structure we’ve seen the past. It’s possible 304 is about Rumple in NL and Belle in SB with no flasbacks.

So it’ll be similar to when Cora tried to take Emma’s heart. The daggers go in but it doesn’t damage him, his magic just vaporises the magic that was in the blades.
This is a cool idea! If Henry’s heart is the one PP needs to save NL and then discovers that he can’t hurt/remove/damage Henry’s heart, imagine the kind of rage and revenge that will cause!

But let’s say your theory is right, does that mean that once Henry is stabbed with both that all dark powers are wiped out? Because that feels very end game, end of series to me.
The way A and E talk about PP being complex, I agree that his need for Henry is more “the greater good” than “evil for the sake of evil.”

With PP is might be more physical–taking away his Dark One’s curse or something. With Henry, it’s more emotional–Henry’s kidnapping is what leads Rumple to repent of his actions because now his son’s son has been affected. Henry’s kidnapping was like the final straw for Rumple.
