KeymasterAbout Ariël. It could be possible that she arrived in StoryBrook at the same time when the Jolly Roger left Storybrooke to Neverland. Is that possible? That one can leave through a portal while another one comes from that same portal?
This has been my thought when I first saw the Ariel trailer. But Phee brought up a good point. Last year, to show that Captain Hook was coming that had a man break into Gold’s shop and smash all the glass cases to retrieve his hook. Needless to say, that never happened on the show and Hook didn’t even arrive in SB until 209, QoH. So, this could be a way to show that Ariel is coming to OUAT but not that she’s going to be in SB.

KeymasterBae never saw Hook as his father so CaptainSwan is not as “weird” as SwanQueen would be. If Rumple and Emma hooked up, that would be weird because Rumple is Bae’s father so Rumple is kind of like Emma’s father in law.
True, but there is a difference between father and father-figure. I think Bae saw Hook as a father figure. He sure felt as betrayed by Hook as he did with Rumple. I’m not saying that how Bae feels is standing in the way of CaptainSwan at all, though. I don’t think Bae’s relationship, no matter what it was, with Hook hinders a Swan and Hook romance.

KeymasterI don’t think RQ is Grace’s mother. Jefferson said he lost Grace’s mother because of his work so perhaps RQ killed her or did something to her.
Ah but what does “lost” mean. It’s like “undoing.” Lost can mean death but it could also mean that Jefferson lost the woman he loved if she became cruel and evil and altogether a different person. Is Regina still the same Regina Daniel loved after what she did to Snow or would he consider her “lost” too?
Something to ponder.

Archie is signing today! Apparently most of the money from this is going to charity. What a nice guy!

KeymasterOh well that pretty much does it for me. That right there just screams confirmation that the RQ is Alice’s sister, at least as far as OUATinWL in concerned.

KeymasterDoes the step-parent/step-child relationship cease to exist when the biological parent dies? Using Rumbelle and Bae as an example again, say Belle married Rumple and officially became Bae’s step-mother. Rumple dies (heaven forbid) does that mean Belle is no longer Bae’s step-mother?
It’s a good question but I don’t know if there is one definitive answer because I think it varies case to case based on emotional attachment between all parties. So, if Rumple dies (won’t happen) would Bae and Belle still be as close as they were when Rumple was alive: in my head, yes, because that relationship wasn’t just because of Rumple. It started out as that way due to marriage, but they become friends on their own terms, not out of Belle and Rumple’s marriage. So, Snow and Regina never would have been step-mother/daughter after Leopold died because Regina hates Snow. She was her stepmother in marriage only. As soon as Leopold dies, Regina tried to sever all ties with Snow and probably no longer considered herself Snow’s stepmother. Hook was emotionally attached to Bae, whether he saw himself as his stepfather or at least father figure we’ll have to wait and see, my guess is YES.

KeymasterThe Duke could have some significance that we find out later on in the story, kind of like how the bad fairy that gave Snow the fairy dust may or may not be Tinkerbell. If the show ever goes into the Dark One’s history before Rumple, then we may find out how the Duke came into possession of the Dagger. We’ve got a time gap between Rumple became the Dark one to the Return where Rumple has stopped the Ogre war. I think Rumple may have killed the Duke of the Frontlands since he was the one who was sending children like Bae into battl
I can see Rumple killing the Duke as a way to bring that mystery to a close, but I don’t think the Duke is PP like HappyEndings was suggesting. If they wanted to explore the backstory of the Dark One and the DO curse, which I hope they do someday, then the Duke can play a part again, but as far as this season and this arc goes, I just don’t see the Duke interacting that much with our characters.

KeymasterThe idea of Emma directing the bean to help Neal find “a Doctor” is interesting. Lake Nostos beats any doctor I know of! Does that mean that Emma’s magic overrode where the bean would have originally taken Neal? Would he have wound up in NL if not for her?
I’m still not even remotely convinced that the Duke has anything to do with anything. I think he is just a minor minor minor character who was mentioned only because they needed someone controlling Zoso and running the war.
