KeymasterI wouldn’t be surprised if it’s revealed at the end of a teaser thing that they’re showing at Comic-con on Saturday.
Agreed. It’s a great way to build extra excitement.

KeymasterThanks for the update! Someone reminded us that last year they shot episode 2 before episode 1, so it’s possible they are doing that again, especially if episode 2 is heavily focused on NL and the JR crew. This is the first full week of shooting so I imagine we’ll start seeing at least EdR if not the MAP and Neal.

KeymasterI really want a scene in the opening episode where Neal has been revived and is sitting in FTL holding the necklace, staring at it. Then he just says, “I need to go home” or something equally short and poetic.

KeymasterWe all assume it’s RH that taught Snow and maybe it was planned that way, but it’s possible that it is a Merry Man instead. We know that A and E don’t like to recast parts, so now that recent casting call for a thief that reads almost identical to RH’s casting call, could be for one of the Merry Men who will teach Snow.

For what it is worth, I sent “Why did Bae say this world was not his first stop, but he went from FTL to 1890s London?” to Mr. Keck. Fingers crossed it makes its way to SDCC.
Thanks for doing that for me RG
No problem. But, don’t be too upset if it doesn’t get asked. I’m sure the poor guy is getting flooded with questions.

KeymasterThere are a million ways a boy in London at that time could get a hat. Like stealing. Which Bae was clearly doing, as we see him break into the Darling household. Also, that hat is fairly typical of boys in that period. In movies like Oliver Twist and the like, boys almost always wear those hats. It’s a signifer of time and location and status. That hat says: poor, orphan, street urchin. Here. All I did was Google “Oliver Twist movie” and these are the images that came up.
We already know that A and E were making Oliver Twist references with Bae in SSTR, the hat just adds to that subtext. It’s not a conspiracy or a clue. It is a way the costume designer locates the character, and more importantly, the audience in time and place.
