KeymasterNice parallels. And I agree with your sentiment about them–they tend to drive me a little crazy because pointing to lots of parallels (that you see) is no indication of what is “true” or “real.”

KeymasterI think the minor characters in OUAT–like Granny–may be more heavily involved in OUATinWL, she may appear a few times because she doesn’t have her own individual arc, like say Belle or Emma.

KeymasterIt’s interesting that the flying monkeys in the book. Oz is a separate land, according to the episode The Doctor. So it’s either an oversight because that picture is in the pilot when they hadn’t thought out all points of the Onceverse yet or there are flying monkeys in many lands.

Henry purchased a bell from Mr. Gold’s shop just a few episodes before Belle showed up in Mr. Gold’s shop in the S1 finale. Also, Mr. Gold got annoyed at Regina for coming into his shop and causing his bell to ring in the episode before the S1 finale. It’s foreshadowing.
Oh yeah! Isn’t that when he said, “Do hope you’re not going to break my little bell” to Regina? And I like…died.

KeymasterThe friendship of Red and Snow is a nod to the story of two girls who are friendly living with an old woman. They took the Red Ridding Hood story and added Snow White, combining both. They don’t have to act out the Rose Red and Snow White Story for it to be in the show, just having Ruby and Snow be BFFs is enough. Besides, that story is far to fantastical to be on OUAT. They’d have to get a character to be the “bear” and they’d have to deal with the Prince.

KeymasterYes to the first two; we haven’t seen anything about the Golden Bird or the Flying Monkeys which we assume come from Oz. I would count on seeing Oz before the Golden Bird, though. It’s a more famous story and there have already been nods to Oz in S2.
The third one you mention was already dealt with in the friendship of Snow and Ruby. Those two becoming friends is a nod to the Snow White and Rose Red story.

KeymasterI don’t think the bell is a nod to Tink either. MM was a teacher, teacher’s used to ring bells to get the students inside.

Keymaster^I’d buy that, Phee.
And as far as shooting and Sebby go: his role in Captain America may have wrapped up by then. He’s not the lead or the lead villain so he could be done.

KeymasterRegina could not create magic, but magical items retained their magic in our world even during the Curse–like Graham’s heart and Jefferson’s hat once Regina added some magical trinkets to it. She was not living in a world totally devoid of magic. So yes, it was significantly weakened, but at the same she wasn’t totally without magic. Also, she had no reason to want to create magic–she thought she had won. Once magic came back, she didn’t hesitate to try and use it.
Rumple, I’ll grant he didn’t seem to be using any kind of magic in S1. But he still knew it’s power–the first thing he does it bring magic because it’s power and he thinks he needs it. As soon as he realizes the Curse is about to be broken, he doesn’t prepare to leave SB, he brings magic.
So their addiction to magic, in my eyes, is still just as strong."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love" -
