Perhaps the White Rabbit is a time-turner as well as a portal-jumper. He seems to have magic, which he uses to open rabbit-holes, which could also be time portals.

And traditionally the White Rabbit carries a pocket watch and is overly obsessed with time. We know A and E have said there will be no time traveling on OUAT but maybe they could explore it more in this one. If Alice is world hoping looking for Cyrus, the White Rabbit could bring her to SB in present time before realizing he isn’t there (at least not the Cyrus she knows if you’re right about Jefferson) and leaving.

Then again, a lot of the OUATinWL’s potential timeline seems confusing, with the pilot featuring a Victorian England sanitorium and Storybrook at the same time. 😕

Yes this seems to be the biggest stumbling block right now (for me at least). How on Earth does SB fit into this if Alice is in England around the same time as Bae when he met Wendy??

I’m still very confused how we get to Victorian London…unless it’s not Victorian London but another world that is very much like our own but forever stuck in Victorian times.

Also look for the spin-off to feature other lands in a mash-up style similar to Once that may make you question who a past character really was.

Having read this sentence 50 times, I’m leaning towards it meaning we’ll see someone from Wonderland in another world. Or someone we’ve seen in another world appearing in Wonderland.

Hair-brained idea: I wonder if the Mad Hatter (aka Jefferson) is really Cyrus in disguise! He’s a genie with magic, which might explain how he came by his portal-jumping hat! 💡 That way, Alice really could be the mother of Grace.

Well I like that because we’ve been saying for so long now that Alice as the mother of Grace would be a really great explanation.
But t-word wise, does it work? It looks like the adventures of Cyrus and Alice happens before Alice is locked up in the asylum, which is apparently at the same time of the second season (which makes no sense as she is in Victorian London). And Grace is 10 when the Curse hits (or about then) but Alice doesn’t appear to have aged that much between her time in WL and being admitted to the hosptial, she looks to be about 18-20. So…I don’t think so?

We know Cora is there, but she wouldn’t be at the start of S2 of Once because she was in FTL when the Curse hit. So was Hook. So if you’re right, we can mark them off the list.
We also know that Alice and Cyrus travel to different worlds. So what if we get Ariel’s story in OUATinWL BEFORE we see her in OUAT.

It is very possible that Sebastian could be in the pilot. His work on Captain America isn’t leading star, so he may have time off where he could fly out to Vancouver and shoot an episode. He doesn’t need to be in every episode to peek the interest of viewers. Give them a little bit of Jefferson with a suggestion for future appearances and we’ll eat it up.

That’s true. And in several versions of the Alice story, the White Rabbit does work for the Queen. Hmmm.

Note the Wraith, because that’s very important to where the spin-off actually picks up, with fans seeing a different character’s point of view that won’t make you angry

    This sentence is confusing.
The Wraith went from SB to FTL right after Rumple brought magic. And Alice is in Victorian London. Actual LONDON. So…how…?
Seeing a different character’s POV that won’t make us angry: that might be a clue to the MAD Hatter. Gah. Start filming! I want to see if Sebby is on set!

Ah, Buffy villains. Glory was my favorite. She was just all kinds of crazy.

If they do have a villain who is evil for evil’s sake, you’re right. It won’t be PP. I think it would have to be someone who is, traditionally, already evil/the bad guy.

Who a past character really was??

But we already have a white rabbit, yes? The cutie with the glasses that I would totally buy if ABC mass produced him.

What if he’s the March Hare? Or the Cheshire cat? We haven’t met those iconic characters.

As much as I’d love to know for sure what each door is, I doubt we’ll know anytime soon, especially if some of them are just nods to other stories they can’t really use. Maybe when all is said and done, one of the magazines or DVDs or something will have an in-depth look at what each of the doors was supposed to represent.

I agree with this. A lot of the doors are probably Easter eggs or references that we’ll never get until the end of the series in a big wrap up special or something. Maybe what’s more important than each other lands is just the demonstration that there ARE so many lands. It back up what Jefferson told Emma about a long line of lands, pressed up against each other. This scene shows that he’s not crazy.
