Here is the wikia for the images of the book and inside the book for S1 and S2. I don’t see Rumple’s dagger or story anywhere, but I’m going to keep looking. I’m not saying I’m fully doubting you or that you need to give me the information now, but if Rumple’s story was in the book, I just feel we would know. We’re not normal. We tend to retain that kind of information. 😀

I definitely think Rumple and Pan have encountered each other before, so it’s possible Rumple and Bae/Neal were aware of each other in Neverland. and Neal ran away!

That doesn’t mean Rumple was aware of Bae whenever/if Rumple went to NL. My personal inclination is that whenever Rumple went to NL (to get squid ink is my current theory) Bae saw his father from a distance and began to try and figure out how to leave NL. But the trick here is that no one is supposed to be able to leave. In my own theory, PP let Bae leave because Bae had to father Henry someday. But PP had to wait until after the Curse was cast and until Emma was a bit older. Bae was eventually allowed to leave, though in his eyes it probably seemed like he got lucky and found a way to leave because I think PP is very sneaky.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"A few other people have suggested something similar: that the Mermaids are probably a wicked bunch who hate humanity and try to drown sailors when they get the chance. That is keeping with traditional mermaid mythology who are a bit like Sirens, temptresses who lure men to their deaths. People have suggested that the only good mermaid will be Ariel, though they differ on why Ariel likes humanity (she’s in love with Hook being one of the more popular ones).
As to the father figure for LM/Ariel: Poseidon/Neptune is possible. Triton, from the movie, already bears resemblance to the idea of a water god and in the TV series he is called the son of Poseidon.
As to Atlantis: maybe? But that seems a bit much for one season that already has PP mythology and now possible The LM mythology. Remember, the biggest complaint this season was that H and K took too many toys out of the box. Hook landed in FTL a few days before the Curse, which brought everyone to our world in 1983.
We are pretty sure that Neal didn’t come to our world, again, until 1991. In Tallahassee his wanted certificate gives his birth date year as 1977. He landed here when he was fourteen. In order to say he was born in 1977 and be fourteen, he landed here in 1991."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"I don’t think Hook being paired with anyone–Emma, Regina, Ariel–would signal his departure or continual existence on the show. If Rumple can leave Belle for NL (Rumbelle being one of the most popular canon ships on this show) then Hook could continue on without his lady love in order to help his friends.
I think I said this a few pages back but if Ariel is in NL and in S3 then she won’t be fully developed until the second half. We may get an episode with her in it in the first 11 but she won’t have her own story until the second half.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"August knew about the dagger because HE HAD READ THE BOOK- remember he planted his own story in there after he stole it from Henry’s hiding place, so he knew all about it from there- if not before.
But we don’t know that Rumple’s dagger story is in the book. Henry didn’t know who Gold was in reality and it was only recently that we learned Bae was in the book, and I think a lot of us were surprised by that. It’s supposed to be Rumple’s greatest secret, so I don’t know if it would be in the book.
How did SB get supplies etc.if no ‘real world’ people could find SB- there’s no way they could have been totally self sufficient (cars, phones, computers, many types of refined/packaged grocery products, ipods/mp4 players etc- that all had to come from somewhere else)? (I know this is an ocd thing to bring up, but they could have laid off the hidden thing a bit- its not like that stuff pops up out of thin air & I have to over look that fact everytime I watch S1 now
The Curse is self-sustaining. It as designed to make sure everyone would stay alive forever, trapped in a bubble. Nothing needed to come into town because the Curse essentially provided for everything, including upgrades in technology and clothing when it was appropriate. The Curse was designed to make sure that everything appears as normal to those living within the town.
How Henry got into SB from the ‘real world’ if SB doesn’t even exist even on a map.
How did Henry even leave SB to go find Ema in the 1st place- it’s not like he caught the night bus outta SB, or hitched a ride?Actually I can totally see Henry riding his bike out of SB and finding a bus to Boston.
