KeymasterWhile I was (am) heartbroken over splitting up my OTP, I have faith in H and K. I think they have big plans to develop Belle’s character more fully. One of the biggest complaints I see about her is that she’s nothing but Rumple’s GF/TL which just isn’t true. She’s so much more, so yes. Bring on Mayor Queen Belle!

KeymasterThey need someone who can play a someone between the ages of 16-25 convincingly, in my opinion. He just can’t be younger than 16 on the show, it wouldn’t be very menacing.

Were GOAT always completely aware of their mission though? Are they aware of exactly why they’ve kidnapped Henry? Or are they just blindly following orders from their boss, who in turn answers to PP? It was established that GOAT are unaware of who they’re really working for, which suggests that they don’t know of PP, or why they were told to take Henry to NL.
I can buy into the idea that THO exists to find Henry. But I think that GOAT are just footsoldiers who don’t know the whole story, so when they spouted all the “destroy magic” stuff, they genuinely believed that that was their mission, and they genuinely do not like magic.
I don’t think GOAT knows who they are really working for or why, I think they are footsoldiers like you said. They believe in the destruction of magic because that is what their bosses are telling them is important. I wonder if Felix also told them–and others like them–be on the look out for young boys who come from magic but are born into non magical worlds. GOAT probably think Henry has something to do with the overall destruction of magic, but that’s not what PP really wants from him.

KeymasterIf they can do Frankie I don’t see why they couldn’t parallel Lord of the Flies. They were on LOST after all where Lord of the Flies was often referenced.

KeymasterFather: It’s a mistake – she’s turning fourteen. Only fourteen!
Hordor: Orders of the Duke! The Ogre Wars have taken their toll this season. More troops will turn the tide.
Baelfire: They lowered the age again, Papa.
Baelfire: My birthday’s in three days. They’ll come for me in three days!
Rumpelstiltskin: We’ll find a way. We’ll… We’ll find a way.

Characters who refer to themselves in the third person are annoying.
Depends on the character and why. Elmo or Tarzan for example do it to imply lack of command of the language. Sometimes it’s done to indicate a lack of self (like Dobby in Harry Potter) or too much importance of self (like Voldemort or and even Hook. Captain Hook in J. M. Barrie’s “Peter Pan and Wendy” (1911): ” ‘Better for Hook,’ he cried, ‘if he had had less ambition!’ It was in his darkest hours only that he referred to himself in the third person.”)
Generally though–KFChimera agrees it is annoying for the third person reference 😛 😆RumplesGirl enjoyed this post.

KeymasterHow long were Bae and Rumple together during his time as the Dark One before Bae went down the portal
Not long. Bae was about to turn 14 when Rumple became the Dark One, but Bae was 14 for a long time in NL, according to him in The Queen Is Dead. So, maybe a few months, but less than a year.

KeymasterWhile I do think Peter is behind a lot of the stuff that’s happened to our family, I’m not sure if Rumple is behind the one who is behind everything. I think Rumple recognizes that Peter an advisory. It’s interesting, he seems to be somewhat scared of PP. We’ve never seen him be afraid of anyone except when Regina mentioned Cora in Into the Deep. I think Peter rivals Rumple in power and even Rumple’s other apprentice, Regina, can’t claim that.

Oops. 😳 Didn’t see that.
It’s totally fine! I was just saying that many people agree. Feel free to keep the conversation going in either. 🙂
It has been a really long time since I read the book. What are some other parallels?"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"RumplesGirl
KeymasterDemileto noticed the same thing here! Definitely lots of parallels coming!
