This is off topic, but i also really liked Westworld. It was harsh, but a really interesting premise. Really good actors too.

And frankly after last’s night political, uh, interest (let’s say) I’m just sad that these sorts of issues about gender equality and power dynamics and rape culture are 1) still around 2)upheld by entertainment media as the norm and 3) everyday people still don’t get how vital it is that we have a more open conversation about what’s going on gender wise.

I think we’ll stay steady–people who were curious enough to check out the premiere fled which is why we dropped from 6×01 to 6×02 and now we’re back to our “dedicated fan base”

–We all though Ana’s mother looked exactly like Lady Tremaine
–She threatens to make Ana her maid if Ana returns (there’s a line about a bucket)
–The entire conversation with the Jabberwocky
–@Watcher brought up the fact that in one of the sequels (Cinderella 2 maybe) Ana rebels against Lady Tremaine and falls in love with a baker (I think). Obviously Ana falls in love with Will, a petty thief and IIRC there’s even a scene in episode 6 of him stealing bread
–Ashley actually makes an appearance in the pilot which seemed odd unless you’re connecting the dots
–Ana wears a light pink dress while talking with her mother (before going for more iconic Red Dress as the Red Queen) and in the Disney film, Anastasia dresses in pink (Druzilla in Green)

–6×03 features a lot of CS moments
–Emma will ask Hook to move in
–Hook babysits (or just looks after in Granny’s?) baby Alexandra
–Hook and Henry sword fighting was Henry’s idea
–A and E were asked directly about Anastasia and Adam said that it was never directly confirmed and then told the person asking to “ask him on Twitter for a more in depth conversation” (AKA: they are ignoring Anastasia altogether)

However, the sentiment–true love and love in general means sacrifice, even total obliteration (ie: Robin)–is presented as true in the show.
