I’ve got form some thoughts on this so I’m going to just talk:
–I think Cora loved power more. That’s why she chose to take her own heart. And I think she was playing Rumple. She brought up love, not him. She then used that to get him to change the deal. And she only admitted she loved him when she was heartless, and therefore unable to know what love was. Once she had her heart back,then she knew that she really loved Regina, but I don’t know about Rumple.
–Rumple was in lust with her. She was dark and scary and perfect for his tortured soul. But not love. Regina was already half way there, and this pushed her off the edge. Snow just plunged head first into the dark world.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"I think she lusted after him, after his power. I think Cora has a very time knowing what love really is. Only in her last moments did she realize what it was. I don’t think she really loved Rumple, but I think Rumple deeply cared for her.
OR. I’m dead wrong and I’m too troubled over this fantastic episode.
