AntBee I’ve been thinking that all day…that they go back on Hook’s ship…I think the ship is the only way Hook could get to New York in the first place…he knows nothing about cars (except how to dodge them now) and planes and whatever. He just sails down the coast and Emma and company sail back…I hope they show the scene of Hook coming into New York Harbor(is that right)…just the look on people’s faces…let’s face it…it isn’t exactly a modern looking ship and Hook dressed in his outfit and he has his hook back…I want to see it.

I think you and AntBee are on the right track. For Hook to suddenly get on a plane and get to NYC makes very little sense. He’s been in our world for a very short period of time. I wonder if he can cloak his ship and sail it.

Seriously though I do hope that confrontation will lead to Emma easing up on Nealfire…right now he’s taking all the heat for what happened and he’s the only target she’s got.

I think it will change once Pinocchio/August is back in the picture. She needs to readjust. In a matter of moments the man who broke her heart came back into her life, was revealed to be from FTL (a place and concept she only JUST accepted because really it hasnt been that long from A Land Without Magic to our present story), is Rumple’s son, and abandoned her. I think once her head clears a bit and she hears more of Bae’s story (because apart from hearing that Rumple was a crappy papa she didn’t hear much) she’ll refocus her anger onto August.

I believe that Rumple’s undoing doesn’t mean destruction as in death. I think it means undoing as in reverting back to his real self, pre Dark One days. In my mind, I think Rumple will end up sacrificing himself for the sake of young Henry. Interesting that they made Rumple the Beast, who in the real story, dies and is transformed and resurrected by Belle. In Narnia, we see the White Witch use a dagger to kill Aslan who had sacrificed himself for the Narnians. The story of giving up one’s life in sacrifice holds no copyright because it’s the oldest and truest story ever told . So I would hope that we will see Rumple give the ultimate sacrifice, his life for Henry’s, and in turn we see the Dark One die, dagger is shattered and the real Rumple is saved, transformed and resurrected just as the Beast was.

I think this is a real possibility. And, because my Rumbelle heart won’t let me NOT say this, if Belle witness this sacrifice it might trigger her memories and revert her back to herself, and then she can save Rumple from dying with TLK, which is the Disney movie of Beauty and the Beast works. Then, we have a Rumple who is not the Dark One, no longer magical, and that’s the next phase of his character development: learning to be human again, without magic, and being brave.

I am thinking that either Emma or Henry saves GOLD in NY after Hook attacks him with his hook. I think their magic might transcend the boundaries. That would reflect what the Seer said about the boy not seeming to be what everyone expects.

    Any takers on that theory?

Emma’s magic seems like it might be more pure than Rumple’s (child of true love vs. the Dark One), so it’s possible that her magic will work outside of SB. The issue is, of course, that she is very inexperienced. The first time we really saw her do magic it was almost spontaneous (repelling Cora) and the second time she (using the dream catcher) she had to be guided by Gold. So would she know what to do to save Gold? I think they are going to have to take him back to SB where he is immortal and can heal himself; Bae follows because of Emma and Henry and because he does seemed very concerned about Papa Rumple.

Although Nealfire knows about Emma having his son, he doesn’t know that she gave him up for adoption yet. I wonder if we are going to see that on screen? Also, if someone doesn’t punch August in the face for what he did to Emma, I will be very annoyed!

Please let David punch Pinocchio in the jaw, first for taking his place in the magical wardrobe, and then for making Neal leave his teenage daughter pregnant and alone.

Agreed! I need Pinocchio to be punched. First by the Charmings, then Neal, then Emma, then kicked in the shins by Henry for good measure.

I also really want to see what happens when Neal learns that Emma gave Henry up and he’s been raised by Regina. (AND that Mr. Gold before the curse was broken is the one who got Henry to Regina. He won’t be happy that his son has been a pawn in so many people’s lives)

I loved that Nealfire told Rumpel exactly what was on his mind. Rumpel needed to hear it. Poor Rumps was under the delusion that he could just solve all his problems by turning Bae back into a little boy again, but too much has happened. Neal is a completely different person now. My heart broke for both of them.
I liked how Neal referred to magic as “crap” multiple times. Poor dude has been through so much and tried to rid himself of it, but it keeps finding him. He’s got this old soul, weariness about him that I really like.

I love that the second time NealFire said “crap” he did Rumple’s famous hand movements, the drama gestures. It was spot on and exactly the kind of thing that would be remembered by Neal

I hate to ask, but is he really Rumple’s son. The way she looked at Rumple when he walked in the door? Please tell me I’m wrong!

I think so. I think the whole possibility of Bae not being Rumple’s was a read herring. I think Milah got pregnant like the night before Rumple left, he spent about 8 months or so at the front, and then injured himself and had to hobble home. Bae only looked about a month old when Rumple got home. So he was gone less than a year. There is very little doubt in my mind that Bae isn’t Rumple’s.

Well, we can sit and talk about what we think the prophesy means but it only matters how Rumple interpreted it. Whether it means his death or his loss of power he is not going to take either well. Either which way if Rumple chooses to act on his beliefs then it will come true. I personally prefer loss of magic over death because Rumple’s my favorite. Now, do we think he actually will risk Bae’s love by killing his grandchild? He has spent centuries trying to find Bae. The entire show is built around him and Bae being reunited.

I think this is a really important point. How Rumple interprets it is what matters, at least for now. I think his “undoing” is more about the power of the Dark One and the upcoming war with Cora/Regina vs. the heroes, but once again the Seer left out details and all Rumple knows is that somehow Henry is what stands between him and Bae.
Now, I don’t honestly think Rumple will kill Henry. He would lose everything if he did that including both Belle and Bae. But I think we’re going to see him really struggle with it for awhile.

And Greg, please, get out of this town, you are a bore.

BUT the writers usually bore us with prolong inaction until they blow us away with a great plot / story….

    DR WHALE
    YES even Tiny
They need to get us use to the character before they put him into action
Greg may be discharged from the hospital but his car needs to be repaired… Have you noticed he has a recent SUV while everyone in SB is driving a clunker / antique car.

I think Greg will only become important once we dispatch with Cora. And I keep going back and forth on when that will happen, before the end of the season or at the very end of the season. My first instinct says before the end of the season. So once Cora is dealt with, then suddenly they turn around and Greg has broadcasted to the world what’s going on in this town. This is what will lead to the season finale that they HAVE to go back to FTL.

It kinda bothered me that Rumple offered to make Bae young again and tried to fix things with magic…we had a more heartfelt reaction when Rumple thought August was Bae last season. Back then, he promised no more magic.

This bothered me too but I think this is Rumple’s great character flaw. He sees magic as an easy way out. It’s the crutch he can’t walk without, and while he is trying to change, it’s super hard for him. So when Belle lost her memories, his first instinct was magic with TLK and enchanting Chip. It didn’t work. So now to get his son back, his solution is magic and taking away his memories and making him 14 again. Magic is the easy path for Rumple. What he really needs to learn is that magic is not the answer to these problems. It’s going to be long and hard and difficult and maybe it won’t work. But magic can’t be the answer for Rumple; especially with NealFire seeing as that’s how he lost him in the first place.
