Why would Belle change her name to Lacey? Wouldn’t that just make everything confusing? Everybody calls her Belle already! Even if she doesn’t remember, she would still probably at least keep her name the same! :geek:I think this is a good point. She doesn’t know who “Belle” is, but she doesn’t seem to have any identity at all. She doesn’t know who she is, so while Belle doesn’t mean anything to her, I’m not sure that any name would mean anything to her.

Phee: I like your reasoning behind the gap in between Miller’s Daughter and Lacey to explain how it could be Belle. So does Cora wound Rumple with the dagger (and is that enough to take his power?) or is he injured in another way?

HAHAHA! Agreed, that would be quite funny. Plus, why would he leave now? If he had the choice, wouldn’t he want to stay and right his wrongs? He knows he messed up in leaving Emma (twice) and his punishment was turning back into wood. Plus, now that everyone in SB is awake, wouldn’t he want to see Marco?

We don’t know Mother Superior’s name, correct? And I know lots of people are beginning to suspect that Blue and August have been working together. Probably a long shot, but I thought I’d toss it out here.

So the Belle theory, something so delicate held together by tiny threads that can snap (like her mind), might hold up. Might indicate that it takes until this episode for Belle to remember who she is and who Rumple is.
But, I think with the way episode 17 sounds/looks, (Cora getting Rumple's dagger to use on him has some very Beauty and the Beast-esque potential it’s more likely Belle will remember before this episode and this is about Greg’s girl.

Ok. Theory for this episode: We learn where August has been for this whole season. We also learn of his connection/deal with the BF. At the BF’s instructions August broke up Neal and Emma by showing Neal the picture of Rumple’s dagger in his box. Later, he collected baby Henry and brought him to the BF who then gave him to Rumple who gave him to Regina, but only AFTER the BF had put the idea of having a child into Regina’s mind. I think in order for August to repent for his actions with Neal and Emma AND because he broke his promise to Emma when she was a baby, he will probably die in this episode. But hopefully after he has reunitd with Gepetto.
