One of the things that has be doubting the whole Nealfire thing is… Someone sent Neal a postcard… so why isn’t HE coming to SB? Why is Gold leaving to go find him?
I know Gold doesn’t KNOW someone sent Neal a postcard but… that part seems weird and like it might come into play. i.e. Emma refuses to go with Gold, or they don't make it out before Neal comes in or something?I want to know what happened to August!
I have a feeling the writers are setting up a big chase between Gold and Nealfire this season. Rumpel will leave Storybrooke to go looking for Baelfire, while at the same time, Neal leaves New York to visit Storybrooke. I think we’re going to have a few episodes with Gold and Neafire constantly losing track of each other’s trail.
I think this is a big possibility. I was surprised to learn that this episode was so soon after the break and before the summer hiatus. They go to find Nealfire but we haven’t even dealt with Cora yet and her reign of terror and her plans for Regina. I always assumed that the search for Neal/Bae would come toward the very end of the season because the biggest story right now for season two is Cora. That being said, I hope it’s not all of season two post this episode that deals with finding Neal. I really want Emma/Gold back in SB to fight Cora when the inevitable showdown happens.

KeymasterI don’t think Cora and Eva are sisters just because it would complicate matters SO MUCH. Regina would Snow White’s Step Mother and…uh…cousin?? This family tree is already really complicated.
But I do think that she’ll have a connection to Eva, but not a family one. I think she’s the reason Eva is dead. And right after this episode is the one about young Cora, so I think that makes the most sense."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"RumplesGirl
KeymasterOh. One more thing. Cora obviously broke the deal with Rumple and somehow got him to agree to teach her magic. But–and this has bothered me for some time–Rumple has an odd habit of introducing himself. He tells people his name. Which is obviously totally outside the original fairy tale. So if his name isn’t what Cora finds to break the deal, then what? Could the dagger be making a reappearance? We know that if someone who is not the Dark One wields it, they control the Dark One. I really think Cora knows about the dagger and this might be one way that she found out about it. Instead of guessing his name, she found the dagger and somehow controlled/manipulated Rumple into relinquishing his hold on Regina and at the same time teach Cora magic. That’s the new deal: no Regina and teach me magic, and in return I’ll let you live and give back your dagger. Rumple agrees to this-he has no choice really–but once the deal is complete, he manages to find the loop hole: he leaves Regina alone for now, but takes the kingdom from Henry and Cora.

KeymasterI had to go through a re-read this thread many time. So Henry Sr was a prince. Well, that makes Cora’s need to be powerful and have Regina rule even more clear. She’s a displaced Princess. *I still loathe her…*
I think the theory that Cora reneged on the deal to hand over Regina to Rumple thus ensuring Henry lost his kingdom is spot on. I LOVE the idea that it went to George. But, it does leave the question: why didn’t Henry try to take it back? Or why was Henry so scared of Cora, submissive to her? Did he fear Rumple that much? And how much was Rumple involved in their lives post losing the kingdom? He and Cora seem to have had a falling out (presumably over baby Regina) so did he just sit back and bide his time?"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"RumplesGirl
KeymasterThe actress they picked looks remarkably like Ginny (and the young Snow Flake whose name I am tragically forgetting). Great pick!
As far as her connection to a character we already know…my money is on Rumple. He needs Snow to be born and if Eva was perhaps unable to have a child, Rumple could make a deal. But I also wonder if she doesn’t have a connection to more than one person. Who wants to start betting that Cora killed the Queen?

KeymasterI get the feeling it’s going to take a LOT to get Neal/Bae to go anywhere with Rumple. Even though he’ll want to be with Emma and Henry, forgiving Rumple is going to take a miracle. Especially when Rumple has to tell Neal that he killed Milah and basically manipulated Regina into casting this curse (really good intentions, really bad choices…that’s our Rumple)
But I really need Neal to explain to Emma that August is *several dirty bad words inserted here* and he didn’t really want to leave Emma."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"RumplesGirl
KeymasterHmmm. The fireball in Rumple’s hand makes me wonder what Hook just did prior to that. Also, the last clip for OUaT with poor Rumple’s face!! He looks devastated. I really hope Hook doesn’t do something like push Belle over the line.

KeymasterThese sneak peaks are killing me!
I can’t decide how I feel about the whole Belle/Mulan adventure. I knew that we’d be seeing Belle’s time post-Rumple but pre-Regina at some time, but I guess I never pictured her running around with Mulan. It seems like an attempt to bring the actress who plays Mulan back to keep her fresh in our minds and try to flesh out her story a bit more (which I don’t really care about at this point. I’m content to let her and Aurora go off and find Philip without us learning more about them. I really got my fill of them in present day EF episodes 1-9). But I think that if it focuses more on Belle becoming stronger, not necessarily a warrior, but more assertive and willing to fight for what she wants/loves, then great.
It’s going to be one of the those weeks where I end up caring more about what’s happening in SB than in FTL of the past. The Hook/Belle/Rumple dynamic should be fantastic. And of course, any time Rumple gets to be on screen a lot, I am a happy happy dearie."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"RumplesGirl
KeymasterI think the clue is when Rumple said “in another life.” Rumple has had several “lives” at this point: Pre-Dark One Rumple (a humble cowardly spinner who probably had sheep and sheepdogs for his trade), Dark One Rumple, and Mr. Gold. *and of course in following Charming/David Nolan, he is all three* In my opinion Mr Gold and Dark One Rumple are pretty closely linked since Gold is technically still the Dark One, so his previous life would be the one before he became the Dark One. I wonder if we’ll ever get to see more of his life pre-Dark One. Maybe his time during the Ogre’s War?

KeymasterThis is my favorite theory. I’ve been a big supporter of it for awhile. And I agree, I think either the rules changed once Bae went through alone OR the BF lied saying it would be a land without magic, knowing that Rumple could never give up his power and she secretly needed Bae in Neverland for some reason. I don’t really trust the BF but I think the first theory is probably more likely given that the writers do seem to want the BF on the side of “good”
