KeymasterAlso, if I remember my On the Road correctly, Neal Cassidy was the real life stand in for Dean Morairty, who was obsessed with (among other things) his father and family.

KeymasterI’m not sure if this has been said already, but is it possible “Neal” is just a stand in name for the characters real name? A big clue, to be sure, but not what he will be called in the end? Because I have this fantasy playing out in my head where at some point in the flashback Emma will call him “Peter” and then the theory of Bae/Peter Pan/Henry’s dad will be correct and I can be happy.

KeymasterI’ve already given Regina/Archie a name: EvilCricket
I’m kind of in love with this idea. If only because no one would have ever seen it coming.

Keymaster1) If it’s Jack Skellington of Halloween Town I’m going to be the world’s happiest fan. One of my all time favorite movies and my love of the Pumpkin King is forever.
2) Dracula being his Prince is a clever idea, but I really don’t want to see Dracula because I feel that’s jumping the shark a bit. I really think that line is supposed to highlight that Dr. Whale/Frankie considers himself to be above it all, that he answers to no man. What’s that line from the move, GoldenKey? “Now I know what it feels like to be God?” He has defied himself. He sees himself as a god. And as such, he answers to no one.

KeymasterI agree with GoldenKey. There are two Transylvania’s, the real one that we can actually go to, and the stylized fictional one of novels, that doesn’t exist in reality, but exists in the imagination of writer and reader. It’s like Mulan: she’s a Chinese character, and I’m going to guess if we ever see her backstory, her land will look very medieval China, but it won’t be CHINA per se.
I’ve taken to calling Frankie’s world: “Horror Land” (I know H and K called it a world without color) because of it’s obvious 1930s horror landscape callbacks. I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a swamp creature, a mummy, and Dracula."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"RumplesGirl
KeymasterThey mentioned Oz a lot in their last podcast! And in that not so subtly “Yeah we’re going to visit that story sooner or later but we’re going to talk around it for now to try and throw you off” kind of way. You don’t fool us Eddy and Adam!! 🙂

KeymasterI agree with Slurpeez!
Even if Hook isn’t her true love, don’t mean the girl can’t enjoy the view. 🙂"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"RumplesGirl
KeymasterGood catch with the flowers!
I don’t want him to be Oz as well. The Wizard of Oz holds a very special place in my heart, whereas I never liked the book Frankenstein. So, if they do it, I won’t be thrilled. BUT Jefferson’s lines last night…either total misdirection or we’ve met the wonderful wizard of Oz"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"RumplesGirl
KeymasterI think if he does flirt with her, it could be yet another nod to the Pirates of the Caribbean feel of Hook and what’s going on.
1) Guy liner on a swaggering pirate
2) Claimed to be a blacksmith but is really a pirate (Will Turner from PotC)
3) Flirts with Emma SWAN (Elizabeth Swan in PotC)But no, I think Hook is motivated by revenge over his hand at this point and is using Emma as a means to an end. I’m a SwanFire gal (which is just…so crazy as we’ve never seen them together at all. Bless these writers)
