KeymasterI like the idea of the White Rabbit, with a revisionist perspective, as the Stranger in NY. The past fews years they’ve done a lot of reworking the Alice story, like the Tim Burton film, and the SyFy channel adaption a few years ago. The only problem is, how did he get to NY? If all the lands were cursed and pulled into our world (and if we assume landed in SB since Jefferson was, we think, in Wonderland at the time) then HOW did a Wonderland character get to NY? Which is why despite liking the White Rabbit theory, I think I gotta stick with Bae. He wasn’t cursed, like Emma and August, so he can move around.

KeymasterI don’t doubt Rumple is the man who approaches Regina–who else would it be—I just wonder that means for his overall goals. Is this more of Rumple “seeing” the future and knowing that it’s Regina who has to enact the curse, but first he’s got to “turn” her–so to speak? It seems that Regina having magic has caused a whole slew of problems for everyone–except Rumple if his long con is to get to our world, break the curse with the help of the savior and then find Bae.

I’ve been thinking. Since the magic Mr. Gold brought into our world was created from true love, most of the characters on the show will be able to use it. Emma (because of her love for Henry), Snow and Charming, and even Rumpel (because of his love for Belle and Baelfire). Regina however, may be the only one left out. Regina’s true love, Daniel, is dead and she killed the only other person who she really loved: Her father, Henry. Yes, she has little Henry, but since the writers chose to have Emma’s kiss revive Henry, I think that was confirmation that Regina’s kiss probably wouldn’t have worked.
I actually think it’s pretty interesting that Regina has gone from being one of the most powerful people in the world, to one of the weakest. All because of the lack of love in her life.
I like it! I’ve often wondered about Regina’s true love for Daniel. I have no doubt that she loved him (as evidenced by the lengths she goes to destroy Snow White after his death) but I think her quest stopped being about revenge a long time ago and started being more about power. Look how maliciously she uses Graham in SB, using her power over him to get what she wants (“special time”) all the while knowing who she is and of her true love for Daniel.
If magic is coming, I think Regina will get her powers back, but they won’t be able to match the “true love” powers that Emma/SW/Charming/ect will have.

Bae may be angry with Rumpel. I don’t think it makes sense if it is all puppies and sunshine when they meet again. Though i don’t think it quite made sense the way Belle reacted to remembering who Rumpel was. She would have been angry as well. That felt contrived and they did that so maybe they will just have a happy non conflict reunion with Bae though i don’t think so. I don’t think that makes sense for the story.
And actually i think that because August said “do i even look like him” means that he does not know Bae otherwise he would know whether or not he looked like him.
I don’t think it will be a happy reunion either. Especially if Rumple is going to use magic to find Bae. Bae will argue that Rumple really hasn’t learned anything since the last time they met, no matter how good Rumple’s intentions may be.

Although we haven’t seen any of it yet and so can only speculate, I ‘m thinking the new magic isn’t a curse, and therefore the true-love’s-kiss antidote doesn’t apply–in which case Rumple can kiss freely without losing his magic. At least, I’m sure hoping that’s the case. Series end is an awfully long time for us Rumbellers to wait 🙂
I like this since it means there can be kissing as soon as the season starts 🙂

Poor Archie is going to have a lot on his plate next season. 😆
I miss seeing Archie. I really think his gentle personality and calm demeanor are needed in SB, where $%^& goes flying all the time.
Plus, seeing him trying to counsel Regina might be one of the best things ever. Also, I want him lamenting not being a cricket anymore.

KeymasterI noticed a bit of venom in her voice when she told Gold that Regina had locked her up. I suspect that Belle is not the same person she was before she was imprisoned. I would imagine that being unjustly locked up for at least 28 years (plus however long she was imprisoned in FTL before the curse) would change a person. And while I don’t think she has transformed into evil Belle, she is in the perfect position to become the axis of righteous rage (similar to the Count of Monte Cristo) in the storyline.
I think her imprisonment will make her more willing to let Rumple do what he must (ie: use magic) to find Bae. I too heard that venom in her voice when she told him about Regina and being locked up. I think we can contrast that to when she remembers who she is and tells Rumple that she loves him. Even after being turned out of his castle, being told that she was less important than his power, and being his servant, she still loves him and those are her first words to him after “waking up”.

I’m conflicted on Rumple’s fashion. I love his Steven Tyler persona as Rumple, but I got to admit the suits do something for me. A sharply dressed man is a sight to behold and I hope we don’t have to give up the suits. The man even wore one for digging in the dirt in the middle of the woods.
Rumple’s suits are wonderful, I agree. I hope he still wears them in SB. But I gotta say…those leather pants are wonderful as well. 😉 😯

Belle asked why he needed magic and Rumple said power.
It doesn’t mean that’s a bad thing. His statement that “magic is power” is true. We’ve seen that with Regina and with the Blue Fairy, who is supposed to the oldest power and the “good” power. The question is what does he plan to do with that power. Does he use it to find Bae (since that was the whole reason for the Dark Curse) or does he use like Regina did and attempt to control those without power/less power than he.

Who else wants to see Rumple give Belle some tea in the chipped cup?
MORE THAN I WANT MOST THINGS IN LIFE! *so not exaggerating*
I want him to give her the cup and for her to realize what it means that he’s kept it all this time cause my little Rumbelle heart would explode with joy and happiness and all other happy things."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love" -
