I can’t imagine that Eddie and Adam write poetry. They can’t even write a good prophecy. I think they say that they would like to write a musical episode because they know that is what the audience wants to hear, but they really have no desire at all to do so and have no intention of doing so either.
Joss Whedon very famously took off most of season 6–no writing or directing— of Buffy in order to solely focus on “Once More With Feeling.”

Completely agree. He can be mentioned in passing but any attempt to recreate THE Genie in OUAT is not a good idea.

I don’t either. For a non-musical show to do a musical episode you have to have incredibly top notch writers. We don’t.
