Tell *what* to the ratings? We’ve been steady for the past 4 or 5 episodes, holding on to a 1.1 or 1.2. And overall this arc we’ve only dropped .3 before rebounding and holding steady (the lowest it went was Easter which is always a bad night for TV and ABC actually considers it a separate rating altogether). Historically, we’ve never dropped for a finale and we aren’t likely to do so again this week–ABC smartly moved the two back to to 7 so that we don’t lose people at 9 during GoT and we’re not up against any other heavy hitters during our two hour block (at least, not stuff we’re not up against normally anyway).

Here’s an interesting question: why doesn’t Rumple create a True Love potion like he did in season 1? It’s not like he doesn’t have the ingredients and I’m sure Snow and David would want a babysitter when they go to some pointless “adventure” after their obsessive daughter, so there is no reason they wouldn’t want to help.
To what end? To get more magic or to wake Belle? I’m not sure a TL potion would help either.

"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"Ok, honestly asking here. But does what Emma say about TLK (ignoring the ins and outs of Rumbelle and the fact that Emma shouldn’t know what’s going on with that couple) make sense?
Can you lose True Love? If a couple goes through a rough patch–even to the point of splitting–do you lose this cosmic (and yes, ill-defined) true love? Are we supposed to be static, never evolving people? Yes, we hope not to grow into bad people but people do change slowly over time, through life circumstances. Let’s say Emma is right (for this argument) and Belle doesn’t want to be with Rumple anymore; this doesn’t mean that Belle doesn’t still love Rumple. We know she does. We know she loves him a great deal but can’t condone some of his actions (in spite of the whole “the darkness always wins” ending of Her Handsome Hero)
I dunno. I’m bothered by the fact that the most powerful magic of all and one of the defining magics in the show is so confusing and ill defined.

Not likely. Why would Rumple reveal intimate details about his relationship to Emma, a woman who, up until this episode, has had one myopic goal. And Moe doesn’t even know the details of what went down in the Underworld.
This is to say nothing of the fact that what Emma says–Belle doesn’t want to be with Rumple–isn’t true at all. She wants him to make better choices; to use the darkness for light. It’s NOT that she doesn’t want to be with him anymore.
So if Emma DID talk to someone, she got the story utterly wrong.
