Alright someone explain to me why Rumbelle’s TLK didn’t work. She’s cursed; he’s her true love; it should work (like it has in the past)…so whattup?
It could be a mom thing, particularly the way this show portrays the power of motherly love: Belle’s true love is her child….trapped with her in an eternal sleep in the hellfire room. Oops.

Moe is in the guest cast, though, so there’s gotta be something.

He was pretty open about his plans in 519–he flat out told he wanted to leave all the heroes in the Underworld and go to SB, just them and the baby. Zelena has a case of heart-eyes that is making her forget that or something.
Zelena assumed that Hades had a change of heart like everybody else was led to believe. Zelena was adamant about not leaving her sister behind, but Hades hid from her that he still wanted to leave them all behind.
That’s a lot of fine lines (same goes with a lot of things happening with Rumbelle). He’s not deceiving her in the sense that he lied–everyone did get home–and he never said that he wasn’t going to follow through on his plans from 519. It’s not good, not by any stretch of the imagination, but I’m not sure deception is the right word.

Didn’t RC say season 6 was going to be his last? When big stars of a show start leaving is normally when the quality of the show starts sinking. Without Rumple, the RumBelle fandom will be lost and they make up quite a large part of the fanbase.
Yeah but money speaks louder than anything. If they were to offer Bobby some really shiny coins, he might consider giving them another year.

"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"Emma may not care about Belle (or Robin or Red Shirt SB’er #245431) in the same way she cares about Snow or Charming, but there’s a difference between that level of caring and watching someone die in front of your eyes and selfishly choosing yourself over them. Emma–the SAVIOR–would have to be a self-centered 5 year old to not want to save someone that she knows other people do love and care about even if she doesn’t have the same intimacy. And yeah, Emma is a bit of a 5 yr old who only cares about herself and her boyfriend, but the writers don’t think so. Put anyone else in Hook’s position and Emma would still save them.
But Belle or Robin specifically is outside the problem at hand which is that if you were to put Snow, Charming, Regina, Henry or even someone like Elsa, Ruby or Granny in the same slot as Hook, Emma would unquestionably hug-tackle them too. Which suddenly means that she shares true love with Snow, Charming, Regina, Elsa, Ruby or Granny (Henry is less of a problem; we know she has true love with him). So yeah it confirms CS as TL but it’s in a simply strange manner that comes across like the writers didn’t want to commit to it fully (especially when the typical TL confirmation–TLK–had a perfect moment and went without any sort of rainbows). I mean, if CS had TLK right at that final moment in the elevator–a moment of sacrifice on both parts which is what @Keb emphasizes–the problem of Hook’s resurrection is potentially solved, the heroes can get home together, and the final episode of this arc is taking down Hades together. Having a TLK between CS at that elevator moment doesn’t hurt the narrative; it would actually close one chapter and help the narrative move to the next logical point. But the writers didn’t do that. It’s…well, it’s strange enough to ruminate on no matter what you ship.

I’m afraid they just wanted Neal in a scene and what he says in his warning won’t actually make sense. Because assuming Hook does come back, who cares if that’s not the way Emma drew it up. She still gets the man so how is that a warning? I’m just wondering if what Neal said will come into play at all or if I should just forget about it.
The latter. The writers can say it didn’t end the way Emma thought–no heart splitting–but like you said, that’s not the real goal, the real goal is getting Hook back, which does happen.
