KeymasterElla and Sabine are atrocious though. And perhaps it is because they are cursed and haven’t woken up
For Sabine, maybe. I found Tiana to be more level headed than Sabine (honestly the idea that you can make enough money to pay rent and get your apartment by making pastries…). Ella though….that’s a different story. We’ve seen quite a bit of Ella in flashbacks now and I don’t actually hold a lot of hope that they’re gonna convince me she’s a great character. Call it a mix of bad writing and the actress just not being up to the task.

KeymasterThat is weird because they have already said she was Gothel many times on screen.
It’s also weird because she’s not Eloise Gardener; she’s not actually a runaway teen that Hook’s been looking for. That was something she took on in order to break free from Victoria (at least that’s how it played out when I watched?)
I guess I think it’s weird because there isn’t actually an Eloise Gardener. The whole search was really WR!Hook looking for his daughter who is really Alice but goes by Tilly because the writers couldn’t have very well called her Eloise Gardener and had Hook searching for Eloise with the help of Eloise! That would be…nonsense.

KeymasterBut, either way, I’m pretty sure Sophie’s Alice would still exist in Wish Realm, right?
Since Wish Realm was created in “book 1” (to pick up what Matt’s saying in his post) then I guess so. The Wish Realm still exists in Universe A/book 1–which is where we run into some trouble because somehow WishRealm!Hook managed to not only traverse realms to find Gothel/the tower, but he crossed into an entire other Universe because EF 2.0 is in Universe B/book 2.
(the same can be said of Henry when he left home to find his story. He jumped into another realm but also into an entirely different universe/book)

KeymasterSo, they’re actually calling Gothel “Eloise” in the scripts?

KeymasterThe stranger one is why “they can’t know we’re here”. That is an extremely odd thing to say, and there better be a reason for it.
Yeah I actually think that’s the stranger one. I mean, you have a seemingly unbreakable curse that will result in (possibly) Henry’s death if broken, of course you’re gonna call for backup in the form of his other mother/savior/person who usually handles this situation.
It goes back to something we said a lot over the summer; Emma Swan is always going to be the elephant in the room this season because, unless they had decided to kill her back in 702, we’re always gonna be wondering why Emma can’t just show up and help break the curse. And HH is unique in that Victoria wants people to leave so there is restriction in crossing boarders like there was in SB, season 1.
So when Regina drops super cryptic lines like that, the writers better be prepared to explain it somehow.

KeymasterI think it’s a different Wonderland. I suspect that if it was our original WL they’d drop some clever line in about the Queen of Hearts having vanished years ago or something like that.

Keymaster4×9 “Let Them Eat Pie”
–Thank *god* this Professor Pyg arc is over. It ended horribly, being both boring and disgusting. Eating people pie….gaaaaah. Sorry, but maybe the worst mini-villain arc to date.
–“If you lead the people, they will follow.” Will they, Jim? Is that the lesson here? Are you sure?
–Every time Bashir al’Ghul’s name appears in the opening credits I wonder where that particular storyline is going and when it will get there.
–Honestly, there was no reason for Jim to not shoot Pyg when he had the chance. Pyg had the gun pointed at him–a cop likely with a bullet proof vest on, not to mention the out of show plot armor of being the lead character–and Harper, the lady copy, would have been fine.
–“Your father’s friendship saved me.” (Me: “And then he made you into his butler?” Sorry, Alfred. Lovely story and all but you got the short end of that stick…)
–Apparently kids on Penguin’s payroll have to adopt his crazy hairstyle. Poor Martin
–Is this happening? Is Pyg really singing a rendition of Cell Block Tango while serving people pies? Am I dreaming? (side note: honestly, Sweeney Todd was clearly the way to go for a musical shout out)
–“So these pies are–” “”Yup. People. These are people pies.”
–Okay, I do enjoy the meta commentary on Penguin being the most gluttonous of all Gotham’s wealthy given that Penguin in the comics is rather rotund.
–“Stop trying to be my father and be my butler. Clean this place up.” OUCH

KeymasterHe would’ve needed a magic bean otherwise. When Regina was talking about Drizella and meeting her near the tower, Wish Hook looked panic stricken about it being in ruins. Why would it matter since the tower he was with Alice in was in the Wish Realm and not EF 2.0?
Like Matt said, didn’t Wish!Regina say it was in another realm?
And they can pretty easily get around the magic bean thing by simply not showing Hook using one, which is what they did. Realm travel isn’t what it used to be where it was almost next to impossible.
I don’t think the tower was ever in Wish Realm. The ruined tower that Drizella and Regina were practicing at last week is the same tower WR!Hook raised Alice in. So it’s the same realm that Henry, Ella, et al are in—the EF 2.0

KeymasterSo are Cinderella, Drizella and Lady Tremaine all from the Wish Realm too? In this episode we see WishHook meet up with WishRegina to plot their revenges on WishRumple and The WishCharmings (all of it thirtyish years before we think Wish Realm was even created which still bugs me too) and all that stuff with the Tower and Gothel seemed to be happening in the same realm that they were already in… so is everyone from season seven a Wish Realmer except for our Rumple and our Regina?! Or am I just hopelessly confused?I didn’t even think of that. Why would Hook be upset about the tower being in disarray if it’s not the tower from the Wish Realm? Or was that just lazy writing on the writers part? They can’t be in the Wish Realm because it would have to be the same Cinderella, just without the curse having hit.
I think what they are trying to say is that WishRealm Regina gave WishRealm Hook a map that took him to EF 2.0, where Drizella/Tremaine/ect live.

KeymasterIf the final ratings for both episodes are the 2 hour average, then theoretically both should get a 0.5 in the finals.
Another steady, then. Starting to think .5 is our floor.
At this point, I’d say we’re more on the renew side of the renew/cancel bubble, though I think it’s a teeter-totter
