does negative … lets call it “karma” balance out with positive “karma” (can they cancel each other out, for example), or are they entirely separate “bank accounts”, as it were? If someone does a good deed, does this good deed cancel out their bad deed?
I don’t think the show knows. All of Hook’s crimes seem to be wiped clean by the fact that he returned to SB with the stolen bean (that he stole) at the end of S2. From then on out, it’s “hero” status for him, with the exception of Dark One Hook, and despite cursing everyone to Hell, they all go to rescue him because of some perceived sacrifice. Yet Rumple sacrificing himself for the entire town doesn’t seem to make a lick of difference to the heroes in 5A when they said he had his chance for redemption and if he dies, so be it.
But I don’t know that one action cancels out the other. Saving a child from a burning room doesn’t bring back to life the child you pushed in front of a car, to get specific.

Cultures all over the world and all through time might all agree that rape is wrong, without being able to agree on what rape is, so I don’t think even this is something that counts as objective evil.

It’s not even the right colour for Disney Hades. Blue is the default; dramatic emotional moments get red/orange/yellow.

I’m sort of expecting that the TLK will cause Hades to change his mind about revenge on Zeus. The problem is, then, if that happens (Hades’s mind is changed) then is he not defeated? Does he just rule the Underworld as a benevolent overlord, letting souls move on once they complete their business? What does that mean for the ‘ship, Zades? Is Zelena gonna go full on Persephone and visit every few months??

I actually meant portal to another realm. Though looking at the pictures later on i see there is a shot of Henry with Violet in Storybrooke when they kiss and she walks off. So those scenes are probably after the scenes by the fountain. Unfortunate. I sort of want Storybrooke to die. I used to like it, but i don’t really like them being stuck there anymore.
Yeah all the season finale (523) shots we have are in SB and we even have Regina, Emma, and (Snow? Hook?) and one of the brothers driving into SB in the Yellow Bug. And then we have post-driving into town shots.

Is all of Rumple’s magic dark bc he’s the DO? That’s sort of the impression I got when Emma was the DO bc no one wanted her to do any magic since it was all dark.
This is really confusing, I agree. If I just straight up ignore S5A (which, god knows I want to) then no, Rumple’s magic is not JUST Dark Magic because he’s the DO. We’ve seen him use it for good and helpful reasons–and even just normal, everyday reasons that have nothing to do with good or bad (like, I dunno, closing a door). S5A really did a number on the mythology and mechanics of the show and, honestly, not for the better. It used to be that magic was magic and it was the person and intention of the person that determined what was going on. Crush a heart? Dark Magic, be you the Dark One or not. Wave your hand and help out a sick child? Not dark magic, be you the Dark One or not.
