KeymasterI feel that logic is faulty.
Henry should lead with the blacking out because he should know that otherwise he’ll be on the receiving end of some mean bullying/snark, whatever you want to call it? Why? Maybe we could simply go for *nice* off the bat? It’s a mild case of victim blaming. Henry has taken on the burden of trying to save everyone and he’s doing his very best (he’s 13, remember? And shouldering something that no 13 yr old, or heck, even any previous author, had to shoulder) and he should be considering the feelings of how the man who doomed them all the Hell in the first place should feel before he speaks?
And again, Hook does it again next week in the latest sneak peek. There is a time when the snarky comments are simply coloring your character in a way that’s simply…not funny

KeymasterHenry is literally blacking out and has no control over what he is writing. He’s trying to show them that he’s working on it, on fixing a problem that Hook is the cause of in the first place and all Hook (and Emma and Regina) can do is criticize that he’s, essentially, not working faster to save them while Emma and Hook spend the entire episode sitting in the apartment doing absolutely nothing to help. It’s not just what he says; listen to how he says it: sarcastically, rudely, and with an air of frustration and disappointment. Yeah you’re stuck in Hell, Hook. That must suck. But you’ve placed all your hopes of getting home on the shoulders of a 13 yr old and when it turns out he can’t work to your level of satisfaction…then he gets to be mean and no one calls him on it, instead they all blame Henry’s “teenage” disposition. Like, are you kidding me? He’s literally blacking out.
add in the latest sneak peek where once again Hook is being snarky/sassy lines that more or less “make fun of” the magical solution people are trying to come up with to get them all home–something that again is Hook and Emma’s fault–and it’s really unnecessary and cruel. He’s being incredibly ungrateful because it comes across as “how dare you have not saved me yet!

KeymasterBut there’s something so small and personal and genuinely cruel about mocking a child for a) trying and b) trying to be creative and c) trying to be creatively helpful to you that just seems….. real?
Because it’s bullying 101 and it’s very real in the very real world.

KeymasterI think at this point, he wants to be a hero, but he can’t be trusted with the DO power without Belle there to guide him.
Does he though? He was a hero. He was hat-sucked, heroized, sword pulling, pure hearted, and still went back to the lure of the Dark Power. This is the problem, right? He can’t resist constantly taking more and more power.

KeymasterCan I ship Hades with that coat? That coat is everything.
Agreed. I adore that coat.
Yep…Hades must truly love Zelena. The Underworld is connected fully to him, so if there’s love growing in his heart, there will be hope growing in the Underworld which is going to force him to choose between his love for Zelena and his vengeance against Zeus.

KeymasterI’m not sure what to make of Hades crushing that flower now that we’ve seen 516….isn’t growth a sign that Zelena is opening her heart to him and that their love is making the Underworld blossom? So why crush it?
In other news, I need Belle’s Flashback coat. Also, her hair stylist.

KeymasterYes, I noticed. Nice tie in to the original Oz work (where he’s a very minor character), the novel by Maguire (where he’s much more prominent) and the musical (which changed his story quite a bit)

KeymasterI really wish they’d use ancient Greek too….but I agree with Watcher that at least they are having Regina write them instead of POOF.

KeymasterIt’s a dream about Snow isn’t it? Snow dying? Or something?
Hook, they are trying to HELP YOU. Can we please stop the snark about people’s attempt to HELP YOU.
Ooooh shiny magic
