KeymasterI was watching the full discussion of the podcast for Devil’s Due, and Jeremy mentioned that Hades has clocks in his little…room…chamber…place thingy. Hades was the eldest son of the titan who was called Chronos…right? And Chronos…means…time…right? Time…clocks…chronos…. I wonder if that means something..
Pretty cool connection. I hadn’t thought of that 🙂
Yes your Greek-ness is right. Kronos was associated with time because his name bears resemblance to the Greek word for time (Kronos = god; chronos = Greek word for time), but he’s also God of the harvest, which of course is heavily time related. He’s a Titan, had loads of kids, most of whom he swallowed. Maybe he turned his father into a clock lol. There are a lot of different myths about what happens to Kronos after the Titanonmachy (some bad, some happier).

KeymasterChinatown? Do you think they’re going to bring back the Dragon that August met in Selfless, Brave, and True?

Nothing is impossible. LOL But….I kinda doubt it. Like @Nevermore said, it’ll be a younger, sexier version of him. A nephew or student who knows the wise old dragon but who now help the younglings with whatever they need.

KeymasterOk well that Henry GIF set just made me tear up at 7 am, so thanks for that.

KeymasterIt stood out to me when he said it, but I was too busy rolling my eyes to think much more of it.
This is exactly how it went for me. I was too busy groaning and muttering about never ending cycles.
More generally, in Lily Sparks’ words, OUAT has essentially become about manpain. Even Regina’s been sidelined in favor of the collective manpain. It was fine in balanced doses in the early seasons, when all the other characters were given equal attention, but it’s disproportionally overtaken the show. I suppose I am admittedly biased: while I’m willing to sit through Rumple’s manpain because Bobby makes the character interesting despite the often reprehensible writing decisions, I just can’t bring myself to extend the same courtesy to Hook, or to CS.
And THAT is really it.
I have nothing constructive to say.

KeymasterThat is pretty interesting. ABC is having a rough year, but…they’re actually on par with everyone else.

KeymasterIs that meant to be Once’s Pain and Panic walking behind Rumple?
It is now!

KeymasterThat was a beautiful moment of vindication.
I just wish Emma has paused more; or like Slurpeez said last night, at least asked “what else is Hook keeping from me?”

KeymasterThey air the first 8-9 episodes til the American Music Awards in November, and then save the remaining episodes for January. OUAT’s replacement would naturally start in March
And *that* actually might be the best argument for why they would give OUAT a full season order; what do you put on ABC Sunday’s at 8 for a mere two-three months? If they did revert back to non-split seasons, then it’s a wonky schedule (though hopefully not as bad as it got in the back half of S2) but it still means original drama (that has a fanbase and does pull in numbers/money, even if they are no longer top notch) until you find the best possible replacement.
