KeymasterWell spotted, Matt!
Hm. Does anyone else want to put down a few cookies that Baby Bae was given a memory potion along with the anti-vemon and thus why he doesn’t remember the near-death experience.

KeymasterDid anyone else wonder what that magical blue glow was about when they kissed? It cut away pretty quickly afterwards, but it seemed like an odd thing to have happen.
I didn’t even see it. Sure it wasn’t a lens flair?

KeymasterIs it just me, or did Regina actually seem to know Hades? (not just know OF him, but they felt like they have interacted in the past). If they did know each other previously then I wonder when they came into contact – he mentioning the curse does make me think again that Hades might be the creator of the curse.
A lot of us think Hades is the creator of the curse, especially given how Hellbrooke looks. As for Regina and Hades, I don’t think Regina has met him before because I think it would have been a conversation after the meeting in the mines. At the very least, a brief aside. Hades, of course, knows everything and everyone.

KeymasterI wonder if it could be Snow and Charming that might die. The whole apartment waiting for them seemed kind of creepy and foreshadowing and they’d probably sacrifice themselves so that Emma could get her “happy ending with Hook” whilst conveniently forgetting they have a second child.
Technically not true. I mean in the bts photos of possibly ep 21 Last Rites, we see Charming back in Storybrooke next to Emma, Regina, Robin, and Merida. http://yvrshoots.com/2016/03/shoot-once-upon-a-times-jennifer-morrison-lana-parrilla-sean-maguire-josh-dallas-amy-manson-in-fort-langley.html#.VudCrk32afA
Who says whoever it is dies in 521? Who says the person dies in in the Underworld? And in the grave yard photos for the funeral, you clearly see Hook but you think it could be him. So, your logical doesn’t really follow.
As for if it’s Snow and Charming; there was a bit of a hint in a hot seat (a joke obviously but one that has some weight) about how S6 is going to have Judy Hopps (Ginny’s role in Zootopia) because “we’ve got her. We’ve got Judy Hopps.” meaning that they’ve got Ginny for S6. It would have to be Charming, then. But again…that seems highly unlikely given set photos of the funeral and who’s in attendance.

Keymaster*doesnt get any of the references* I guess they are trying to heal Rumpels leg? To hide his shame of abandoning the war.
Go read the PR. It’s about Bae.

KeymasterDid I totally miss Aaron Douglas in the press release??? I mean…hey Chief! Man, those Cylons get around. (if you don’t get this joke…plz god…go educate yourself on the masterpiece that is BSG)
He’s in the press release as “Fendrake the Healer”, who I brought up in the press release thread.
LOL yeah all I saw was the name of the healer, not the actual actor.
But you’re wrong. He’s Galen Tyrol. I accept no substitutes. So say we all. (if there are BSG references in this episode, I’ll dub it the best episode the show has done since 3×12. Automatically)

So….anyone recognize anything from any specific culture?? The markings almost looks like woad–think Britain when Caesar invaded. The teeth (are they teeth??) on the necklace almost look Nordic, like the Seer on Vikings would wear (though, this is also something man medicine men would probably wear. )

KeymasterBut the books/shows you mentioned never fully described what happens after the person dies. The afterlife stays a mystery and the depictions are either in the forms of dreams (Harry Potter) or a vague memory (Buffy)
Those are only a few examples and there are more with clearer depictions of the Underworld: like the actual Greek/Roman mythologies. I don’t think showing the Underworld and what happens after you die is a bad thing (which is the heart of the question). It helps flesh out the shows own cosmology which is vital to world building. And just because you don’t see the Underworld in something like Buffy/HP doesn’t mean the viewer/reader isn’t made to understand what it’s like. Buffy’s song in Once More with Feeling–“there was no pain. No fear no doubt. Until the pushed me out…of heaven.” We may not see the shiny fluffy clouds, we but understand the emotion it wroughts in Buffy.
Where I do agree with you is in that the depiction of the Underworld in OUAT is largely “at the whims” of the writers. It’s not solid enough, scary enough, or well rounded enough for the viewer to feel like it’s worth knowing about. So far the only that the apperance of the Underworld does–along with gods, now–is muddle the cosmology of the Onciverse.

KeymasterSomething else to note: Leroy and Granny are also credited in the press release. Does this mean that we could be seeing present day Storybrooke again sooner than anticipated? Would be nice if it means Belle is in the episode, too.
I’m guessing Rumple sees Belle–who is at Granny’s having lunch with Leroy or something–in his little crystal ball? Maybe something happens that makes Rumple adamant that he must get home, so he turns his crystal ball to Milah
