The issue is that we have no concept of time on this show anymore. And frankly, nothing really makes sense from an age/time perspective. We only have a handful pieces of information but none of it gels in a coherent way.

I’m going to try and parse this out…someone correct me along the way if I’m missing something.

–Adam has said a few times that Henry is not 28 (many people assumed he was 28 to parallel Emma in the Pilot thus making him a teenage parent like Emma) and is older than that. The casting call for Henry was for someone in their” late twenties to mid thirties.” Since Adam has said older than 28, we can reasonably assume that Adult Henry is in the mid thirties range.

–At least 20 yrs have passed for Rumple, Belle, and Gideon. We can chalk that up to time passing more quickly in the realm they lived in for so long to explain how Belle is already dead but Regina still hasn’t aged. This however makes very little sense because Belle was about the same age as Snow when the curse was cast (possibly a bit younger!) so we’ll estimate around 30. Only 3-4 years passed over the course of 6 seasons so at the end of S6 she would be 36ish. 36+20 = 56 which is most assuredly NOT how old they made her look with makeup and wigs. Belle, at her death, was about 75-80?

–If Henry is older than 28, but younger than 40, we can split it at around 32-35, meaning at least 14-17 years have passed since Henry left SB at the age of 18.

–However almost no time at all has passed for Regina from the time Henry left SB to the time they found each other in EF 2.0; so again we have to assume that time passes more quickly in the EF 2.0 than it does in our universe..

–This, however, is problematic if the Tiger Lily/Lucy scenes in S6 are flashbacks to the present day S7 HH stuff. Why? Because Lucy is 10 and Regina, Rogers, Tiana, Henry, Cinderella, et all have still not aged a single day from the time Henry and Cinderella met in the EF 2.0 even though at minimum 11 years should have passed (Lucy’s age + 1 year for courtship/conception). And if time is moving more quickly then everyone really should have aged.

–Therefore both statements that time passes more quickly in the EF 2.0 and that no time has passed for the characters when the curse was cast, despite living in the EF 2.0 for at least 11 yrs, cannot be true.

–So either the writers have given up and it’ll never make sense, the Lucy/Tiger Lily scenes are flashfowards to the present day HH stuff (ie: after the breaking of the Curse and is the plot of 7B and a potential S8), or there is about to be some serious timey wimey hijinks involving time travel, lands with times that do not function normally, ect.

I don’t get how there can be any confusion about this

I believe it has to do with the promo in which Lucy seems genuinely surprised to realize that Roni is Regina. Though, I think this is Lucy believing that Roni is awake and therefore no longer Roni

I actually just recalled Lucy was present in the flashbacks of the FTL. So not only was she possibly born there but she should have already met the others who were there.

You mean at the end of S6? I think that was a flashfoward, not back.

Unsurprisingly, with OUAT remaining steady for another week, the Grim Reaper still has us at a 55% chance of renewal.

I really don’t understand why Adelaide Kane isn’t a series regular. I mean she’s in it just as much (if not more) than most of the other regulars and it’s becoming clear that Ivy / Drizella is rather important to the story.

Kinda makes me worried that she won’t be around for the full Season, if that ends up being the reason she wasn’t promoted. She’s one of my favorites of the newbies, so I certainly hope not!

Same! Worried she’s gonna die in the winter finale.

I have been wondering if Drizella is not her daughter either, just like Cinderella isn’t. Maybe Anastasia was the only child she had with the person she loved and the other marriages were just for money and position.

    Oooh interesting.

n ep1, Tremaine was all, “If you’re going to be a Princess you need to understand what real power looks like. Magic isn’t power, because magic can be taken. But fear, fear lasts forever.” She even called it a “teaching moment” for Drizella, this situation where she’d clipped the wings of someone powerful, and then destroyed them.

BOOM! I totally forgot that. Well remembered!

I think Ivy just enjoys the knowledge that Victoria is running around town, plotting and planning and thinking she’s a Big Bad, when really Ivy knows everything and is secretly running the show and upending her plans. It does suck for Ivy that Victoria still talks to her like that, but I’m not sure if Ivy realized that would be a side effect of casting the curse and putting these sorts of stipulations into place. It’s sorta the price she pays, I guess.

Part of the problem is that she comes across as annoying and whiny.

Whiny is a good way to put it. She just has no moxie, she was okay in the season premiere but Jacinda is just getting worse with each turn. She constantly needs to be bucked up or convinced by her 10 yr old daughter and her roommate.  Even cursed Mary Margaret had some of that Snow White oompf.

I did finally watch 4×7 “A Day In The Narrows” but I don’t have much to say:

–A better episode than the week before but I still think the show is spinning a lot of threads, none of which are particularly interesting. The continuing cop storyline is the best beat here and they are getting mileage out of the idea of Pax Penguina.

–What the heck was Os’s hair this week? It basically had a life of its own. Also, I’m totally over whatever is going on with him and Sofia Falcone.

–No Ed; even if his storyline is currently silly I still want Ed.

–I like Bruce breaking bad and rebelling a little bit because of how much pain he’s in. It’s a storyline with some more meat on its bones and the actor does well with it.

–Professor Pyg continues to be a big ol’ “eh” for me.

I think he is more of a self-taught dark sorcerer similar to the Evil Queen and Cora, only male.

Or he got his powers from making deal with his friends on the other side, hence, perhaps, his desire to be rid of them but keep his powers.
