They will probably do the long break again until February. Though it is less of a problem now that the show is on Friday.
I think they will avoid most of February, because of the Winter Olympics.

That was my assumption for that as well. And, correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t that–a potion-like tea full of weird ingredients–a major plot point in “Into the Woods” which features the Rapunzel/Gothel story?
I agree that Hook’s kid is probably Rapunzel; I just have no idea who that is right now. It’s not Alice, I think the events of this episode prove that (Hook’s continued obsession with Gardener doesn’t jive with having just met Alice/Tilly). Victoria had a lot of Rapunzel overtones two episodes ago but now that we know Drizella is really in charge of this little adventure, I question how conscious Victoria even is (unless Victoria is Rapunzel 1.0 and Hook’s kid is Rapunzel 2.0). Anastasia….she’s looking more promising except the timeline makes my head hurt.

Realistically, how much longer can we stay at a .5? Historically, it’ll drop at some point, either this arc or next half of the season. If OUAT is still earning ABC a nice chunk of change–like through their Netflix deal–a .5 might be good enough. But if it drops to a .4 soon, I don’t think that’s enough to save it. That’s really low.

I wouldn’t count out Anastasia since they deliberately covered up her face with a veil but I don’t know how that works given the timeline–how old is Rogers’ daughter supposed to be? Emma Booth’s character, the Witch in the Tower, is old enough to have some sort of history with Victoria and exude a “wise witch woman” aura. If she is Mother Gothel, and they go the Tangled route, then the Witch is quite old and is looking for a way to stay young.

Didn’t even think of that–but good catch! Maybe the “friends on the other side” are the real big bad for the second half of the season.
I thought it was weird that they had him call Tiana a desperate soul.
It’s making me wonder if perhaps he is the Dark One of Enchanted Forest 2, if Enchanted Forest 2 has its own Dark One. After all, Facilier is a dealmaker, just like all Dark Ones are.
