But I have a feeling they’re going to keep with Disney tradition, and make Hades and his realm “Evil” (TM) which should garner the viewer’s sympathies for Emma’s resuscitation projects.

Oh for sure. The subtleties and nuances of the Greek Underworld are rather lost with the writers. I don’t expect them to try and explore the various facets of how the Underworld was really constructed in the Greek mythos. It’s just simply “Hell” for them, but without calling it that.

(I know what you’re going to say. It starts with a P, right?)

    And ends with a -LOT

Oh it’s a slippery slope for sure. And it gets even more slippery when we take Emma’s role as Savior into consideration. A Savior descending into the Underworld to rescue/encounters a lot of lost souls? Yeah, sounds like she might be bringing them back with her in her Fully Realized! Savior role (a la the Harrowing of Hell, but without the Heaven end game)

Obviously from 509. And if we hadn’t already figured out that the LGBT  relationship was Mulan and Ruby (RedWarrior?) this feels like it an obvious hint to it.

And what’s in it for Nimue anyway

Don’t know about the rest, but it seems as if Nimue gets Emma as the Dark One, under the Dark One control and she “follows” the plan Nimue sets out: forge the dagger and Excalibur back together and snuff out the light forever; she gets what the general “Darkness” wants. What Nimue doesn’t realize is that Emma is playing a long con.

I’m personally not eager to see a Greek mythology / Asian religions mashup. I don’t think OUAT can pull that off without making it a outrageously ridiculous.

Oh, it would be a travesty.

But so far it sounds like Victoria (Cruella) is the only one coming back for multiple episodes and if we’re spending the whole season in the Underworld, that could be because of her dog-controlling powers. So if Cora and Pan are in fact regretting their decisions, it’s likely to be more akin to Achilles in the Odyssey (lamenting choices, sad-face, boo hoo, and a rather ambiguous feeling about everything) than any sort of actual redemption and resurrection. Dead is Dead. A and E insist that is a law of magic that can’t be broken and no matter how hand wavey and Magical McGuffin-y, they’ve maintained that they are sticking with that. Hence, Hook is probably not really dead, he was just taken.

Maybe it is like EASTERN / ASIAN philosophy the villains get re-incarnated to a lower form to make up for their bad deeds…. then get returned to life to try again….. . .

And the good guys stay dead and forgotten, not reborn unto a higher life form.

    Great.

(I always estimated that he was from the 1400 to 1500 based on his clothes as a peasant. Regina’s outfits always looked more like the late 1700s early 1800s.)

Time run concurrent in the EF and our world. When Bae lands in London around the late 1800s, it’s the late 1800s in the EF as well. But the EF is not as technologically developed as our world. They move slower in that regard, but A and E have stated many times that time runs the same. Bobby’s statement was really just an actor speaking his opinion. A and E have never said he was 300.

Okay, first of all, this is even assuming it was a Curse, and not a bean, but what if Emma didn’t cast the Curse? What if Nimue did? This could explain what happened to Merlin, after all…

    Quote

Yup. Nimue “takes over” Emma’s body (probably with Emma’s permission becuase Emma has a secret plan) and kills Merlin
