I decided to stop watching Doctor Who after episode 2 this season. I still want to like it, but all of time and space has been reduced to a small universe of recurring characters, catchphrases, goofy antics and arm-waving.

I’ve been a firm believer for awhile now that DW needs fresh blood; in other words, it’s time for Moffat to bow out and hand it off to someone else. He’s becoming…I don’t want to say a one trick pony but…that might be the best phrase right now. He likes his blockbuster style of storytelling but it’s losing a lot of heart and fascination and it’s relying on (like you said) a lot of goofy, fast talking, antics that, when you get past the flash, is really the same rote story over and over. He did quite well in S5 and S6. S7 the wheels began to shake a bit. There was close to *nothing* remarkable in S8 (in spite of getting a new Doctor) and while I enjoyed 901, it was not without problems or Moffat’s trademark “faster than the speed of light” style.

I’ll have more proper thoughts in a bit, but overall this episode didn’t do a whole lot for me. Not as strong as the premiere or episode two, but nothing offensive. It’s absolutely in the Doctor Who wheelhouse of typical storytelling. I just question if I should be getting “the usual” still.

Anyway, thoughts later but right now, it’s getting about a 7.0/10.

.It’s almost like the child of the (former) dark one was meant to fall in love with the child of true love or something…

LIKE IT WAS POETRY. OR SOMETHING.

    I’M JUST SAYING.

I’M NOT STILL REALLY ANGRY OR ANYTHING.

“I ruined you.” “You saved me.” “You needed to be saved from me. It’s what you all need.” What I need is to know what Annalise saved Bonnie from! Bonnie flashbacks PLZ!

THIS. Like, Bonnie…what is UP?! Something tells me that Annalise and Bonnie share some parallels. Maybe abusive uncle/father/father figure who messed Bonnie up too?

Surely Camelot isn’t Regina’s first ball? She was married to Leopold for nearly a decade, enough for Snow to grow from a girl into an adult. They would’ve had balls, birthday balls, at the very least a wedding ball.

That was my thought. We even saw a birthday celebration in one of Regina’s earliest episodes. Surely there would have been dancing. Also, Cora didn’t teach her daughter–the daughter she was obsessed with turning into a queen–to dance? Rly?

Swanfire Question: Why was neal in he yellow bug? See, I thought he was stealing the car the same time Emma was stealing the car….but he was in the backseat? Did Neal already previously steal the car and Emma was stealing it after him while he was asleep in the back? Or did she just walk in on his car theft at that moment? I can’t remember…

    Quote

Emma “stole a stolen car”; grammatically, Neal had already stolen the car and was likely sleeping in the back.

    Congrats to Emilie!

I think they’ll write it in. If this the end of the show, Rumbelle get a baby.
