RumplesGirl
KeymasterI think she’s Rumple’s daughter, hence the fascination with Weaver. I wonder if she’s actually cursed, though. If she did cast the curse then she’d be like Regina in S1, someone who had her memories.

KeymasterI wish there was a more noticeable difference between Original EF and New EF; fairy tales change because of cultural factors not just on a whim. Cinderella’s slipper is wood or glass depending on the people in the regions telling her story. So, this EF needs to have some sort of marked difference because Cinderella’s big difference just being “Latina!” is a bit…iffy.
If Henry’s wife and child died in a fire then what does Henry believe about his mother, father, and other members of his family?

KeymasterAnd I guess Barbara coming back to life makes sense now….if you believe in magical lazarus pits
In this reality not so much, lol. But as a long time viewer of the CW’s Arrow (and just comic books in general), I have no problem with the Lazarus Pit (it’s been used there quite liberally). I think I would actually be a little bit angry if they took such an important Ra’s symbol away from this iteration.

KeymasterWell kudos @Michael but I stand by thinking this is a really sloppy and poor storyline. There’s a far better way to go that keeps with the themes of the overall show and not just appeasing fans of one ship.

Keymaster1) Years ago…. *groan*
2) Hook has…a random bottle of a message? What the heck is that nonsense. And why does the pirate need to give the most powerful savior something so MacGuffin-y?? She couldn’t like…do that kind of magic herself?

KeymasterAlice: I don’t know what it is about her, maybe the mystery but I liked her or at least I was definitely intrigued by who she is, how she knows things, and what her role is.
Alice is definitely my favorite part of this episode; she’s really captivated me. I hope they don’t mess her up.
After rewatching, I’ll stand by my initial 7 out of 10. It’s good, not great but it’s good enough to make me want a little bit more. I will admit that there’s a sense of detachment while watching, though. There’s so much water under the bridge for us and this show that it’s extremely hard to reboot myself along with it.

KeymasterShe’s an orphan looking for family
“Episode 4 is a big one for her”
Yeaaaaaaaaah. I think she’s Belle and Rumple’s daughter.

Keymaster4×03 “They Who Hide Behind Masks”
Actually watching live tonight, so if my thoughts get scattered…sorry 🙂
–Very cool cold opening, cheesetastic dramatic orchestral music and all! Bashir al’ghul lives!
–Falcone’s “place down south” is possibly the most sun the show has ever seen. Seriously, I actually thought we had cut to commercial until I saw Jim in the car.
–I smell a Jim and Sophia romance coming. I’m down for it (good cop and a mobster’s daughter?!) but please let Sophia be more interesting than Lee.
–“Kinda…opens up the room.”
–Myrtle is basically Kathy Bates in Misery? Is she gonna break Ed’s knees to prevent him from running…? (AKA: what an odd storyline!)
–So Ed’s time in the iceberg didn’t affect his ability to speak or his memories or his sociopathy…but he can’t do riddles or “mastermind” his way out of problems? That’s an oddly specific medical condition.
–“I show up and buy a knife. Should be easy enough; I am a billionaire.”
–Bruce Wayne: Billionaire Brat was hilarious.
Some general thoughts: I feel like Gotham has slogged through these last two episodes, though the I was more interested this week just because of Ed’s return. While Gotham does silly and zany really well, IMO, (see: last year’s Tetch storyline) this year nothing is captivating me so far. I dunno…we need Ed and Os back to being Ed and Os, wrecking havoc on the city and each other.

KeymasterAlso, note that the backorder is only up to 18, so it’s getting the Empire/TIU treatment, instead of the typical 22.
Smart. Honestly, the 18-episode seasons are a good move on the part of the writers/studios/networks. It’s not exactly revolutionary that holding an audience captive for a full 22 is difficult (OUAT has its share of filler episodes). Kinda hoping we see more of this from networks.

KeymasterI think it is pretty unlikely that Tremaine set the curse. I think it is going to be someone else. Like Alice or Cinderella or even Henry or Rumpel.
My money is more on Henry or Cinderella because that’s a big tweetable moment and the writers love those.
