KeymasterViolet being a crush scenario would work best, but I think Adam and Eddy think they’ve played the “crush” trope enough with Gretel and Grace…..Violet may end up being more serious.
It wasn’t even really a crush with those two, though. Gretel we met once; Grace we saw Henry speak with her in passing. Nothing to indicate that a young boy had a crush on them–they weren’t even really his friends, more acquaintances.
Frankly true love at the age of 13 is *beyond* ridiculous and makes it seem like they have no plans for Henry so they are giving him a love interest because that’s what they do when they can’t think of any other plot line.

KeymasterBesides, don’t we only get ten episodes this season half? Or was it eleven like last year?
10 in 5A
12 in 5B
(but there’s gotta be some 2 hours somewhere…likey 521/522 and maybe something in 5A)

KeymasterI think Slytherin has been that way since the beginning: its founder sought to exclude all muggle-born wizards and witches from Hogwarts.
I 100% forgot about that, so thanks.
My question is this: has any muggle-born witch or wizard ever been admitted to Slytherin? How would she or he have been treated by the other Slytherins?
Excellent question because “ambition” isn’t just localized to pure-blood witches/wizards. For instance: where would the Dursleys be placed in Hogwarts?
Question: In the books, is Draco generally referred to by his first name or is it generally his last name Malfoy that is used?
If I remember correctly, it is almost always Malfoy unless it’s one of his parents then it’s Draco.
If it is the latter, then that can make the reader subconsciously dislike the Slytherins because there is a lack of kinship. We have Harry, Ron, Hermione, Seamus, Dean, Neville, the reader is all on first name basis with them but then for Slytherin you’ve got Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle which suggests a less friendly connection.
Excellent point. Even later when we become friends with some Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws, they are “first name” friends.

KeymasterThat’s a lovely cloak on Belle. Is it the same one we saw in 312?

KeymasterThat gives Merida two centrics in 5A since 506 is her episode. That’s not *excessive* I suppose but since 5A is only 10 episodes as is, that’s a bit more than some are going to like for a guest role.
For all we know, this could be where Merida’s storyarc comes to a close. Her parents may only appear for a brief scene, and that’s that. Not like they haven’t had other characters appear just for a bit scene, like with Belle’s mother.
If she’s not carrying into 5B (and I don’t quite know why she would) then it make sense that they’d have some sort of send off for her before the end of the season. So if 506 is “Merida’s adventure” then 509 can be “Post-Brave spin”

KeymasterThe Slytherin house does have a bad reputation because of past events but all its students are being tarred with the same brush and prejudice from past, present and future.
This is actually a question I have and have raised in the past: does the Slytherin reputation stem from *just* the recent past or has it been the house of ill repute (so to speak) since the beginning? I mean, Godric Gryffindor and the other two seem to have no qualm about setting up an entire school with Salazar Slytherin.
