Personally I think the Clone!Hook theory might be right but also really….bad. It’s not a good narrative point. It makes both Emma and Hook look like cowards and frankly too wrapped up in their own personally happily ever after to care about Henry and what he’s going through. So..what? Emma and Hook pop over to New!EF see that Henry is in trouble (as is his wife and presumably daughter) and while Regina and maybe Rumple choose to help Henry even if it means another curse and being separated from SB, loved ones, ect, Emma and Hook just offer a clone of his stepfather instead of helping out by going themselves??

I dunno. But I find it really strange that both Regina and Hook are dressed like their non-cursed EF counterparts while Rumple is in HH detective drag.

It could be. It’s a Friday night so that’s gonna change things. But it’s also a new season and historically we stay steady; it’s being promoted as a fresh start, a reboot and I would never count out curiosity for people who at least want to see if they’ll like the new direction. I definitely agree it could fall to a .8 or even a .7. I don’t think .6 is going to happen; that might happen as we get closer to the finale of 7A.

General: I finally got to sit down and watch the season opener! I’ve missed talked about this show with you guys. Overall I really liked the premiere and their focus on the city itself and how it has changed because of all the madness that happened last year.
LIKED
–Licenses to commit crime is a really interesting narrative set up. There’s a lot the show could do with that this year. And of course Penguin is the one who thought it up.
–I believe there is a mandate in place that Penguin must have a new hair style every year. I like this more spiky version. RLT pulls it off well.
–“He’s dead, remember. No that that matters in this city anymore.” Bless you Harvey.
–“Does this mean we can get pizza?” I’ve never been enamored of Tabby but her teacher/student relationship with Baby!Catwoman was enjoyable.
–Penguin is still one of the best things about this show and I love (of course I do) that he’s keeping Ed around as more or less a sounding board for his emotional outbursts. Os might believe he has “frozen” his emotions but clearly not.
–Selena’s blue dress is gorgeous. Also, “why can’t you two just go to the cinema like normal teenagers?!” LOL
MIXED
–I’m not sure how I feel about Scarecrow Jr being back. His first go around in S1 was really underwhelming and suffered from a lot of writing issues that plagued most of S1. They’ve done better since–like with Penguin and Riddler and Tetch–but I hesitate to warm up to Scarecrow Jr.
–The show is really embracing Baby!Batman. This has always been an issue for me because Gotham is better as a villain origin story and Batman should only be on the outskirts of the sotry but David does a nice job playing this new Dark Knight.

Hmmm.
I found her to be a bit more like Cora, actually. It’s sort of hard to say just because while she’s in the premiere it’s really just set up and you don’t get too much flavor on her. Sort of like Regina in the Pilot (before The Heart of the Thing You Love Most when she was literally just Evil Queen and Bad!Mayor Mills)
