Merida and Emma being friends I’d weird for me because Emma is evil as far as we know. How the heck would that work? Is Emma not this seasons villain?
Well who knows because thus far Emma is with everyone in the EF/SB merge and not in any kind of “dark” costume. I still think this is a flashforward

"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"If they do go the route of Merida and Emma as friends then I hope Merida sticks around because I’m really tired of Emma developing a strong female friendly relationship only for it to be swept away because “end of arc.” (note: Yes, Regina is her friend now but there is no law that says Emma can only have one friend….)

"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"Well if history is any indication, then the character introduced at SDCC is normally just in the first half of the season, the part they’ve shot and fully fleshed out so far. (Hook, Ariel, Elsa and Anna—yes, I know Hook is exception but that was AFTER casting Colin). So if that’s the case then Merida is only a 5A arc character while Camelot is a full season story.
