Belle isn’t being hurt,
Taking a heart hurts. We’ve seen that enough times to know that it does.
she’s in no danger
No she is. Her heart is outside her body. There is no way to predict every single thing that could happen that could cause her bodily harm. Not to mention…she’s under Regina’s control. It doens’t matter if Regina says she wont’ do anything–Belle has literally lost her self control to another person.
Now if regina were planning on killing Belle then I’d understand where you guys are coming from but I am sure Belle’s heart will be returned safe and soundly soon enough.
And that makes taking her heart, her free will, her choice, her safety, and her ability to be a normal human okay?

And what the writer are doing in this regard–making all the relationships cringe worthy and ick-filled, romantic or not–are causing me/have caused me to stop *caring* about any and all of the characters. I simply don’t care about any of them anymore because they aren’t good people. They aren’t people I want to root for and the fact that the show keeps telling me I need to root for characters that have committed the most egregious and horrifying acts…seriously what is the MORAL of this show???!
I mean am I really supposed to root for a Zelena redemption about she gleefully admits to killing Neal, after she mind raped Rumple, and after she’s sexually assaulted Robin?
On the one hand, it panders to our culture’s obsession with romantic love as the happily ever after. On the other hand, it outright dismisses what in fact does come after, which is all the more complicated, messy, mundane ways in which relationships must be kept alive.

And how easy would that be? With the dagger in Rumps possession that’s a suicide mission. What Regina is doing isn’t nice, I agree, but its what needs to be done. And clearly its working if she plans on going to New York. Rump must have backed off.

That all depends on what ABC is eying for that TV seasons. If there is something they think could easily replace a Sunday 8pm show, and if OUAT’s rating keep doing what they are doing (slowly going down and then only making small strides up, only to fall again) they might risk it, especially since they’ll make money off selling the show to syndication.
There is no easy to predict S6 right now since we need S5 numbers. On the whole, I’d say unlikely since we’re already below other dramas that have been on longer. Also, keep the actors in mind. They have a 5 yr contract; so they say no, then it’s no.

Yes.
This isn’t even strictly an OUAT problem; it’s media’s problem, especially in an age where TV shows are expected to have toes (if not whole limbs) in social media where they can get ideas and hastags and ships trending while the show is airing live. The writers aren’t just writers anymore; they have to understand how fandom works. (and this is why A and E fail on multiple levels)
Don’t ever feel the need to apologize here about your dislike of CS. You can be assured that you are in similar company here. None of us can be counted toward supporting that ship.

And when I remember that the writers originally wanted Emma and Snow’s “lost girl” talk in NL to be between Emma and Hook, I die on the inside.
