Okay everyone…thoughts?
I used to be against a female Doctor because canon stated there are “Time Lords” and “Time Ladies” but that’s very much a byproduct of the show being written in an era of binary genders. The Doctor can be old, young, white, black, male, female or none of the above. He’s an archetype and that’s the beauty of archetypes…you can fit in whatever qualifiers you want and still the story can remain the same. I know that there’s a lot of anger over this (and poor Jodie is gonna be in a for a rough year) but I’m thrilled to see what she can bring!

I think it’s still a safe bet that Mekia Cox will be Tiana. I believe A&E said that The Princess and the Frog was a fairy-tale they’d like to get to one day, so now would be their best opportunity.

Oh to be sure. Adelaide Kane did just spend 4-5 yrs playing a 16-19yr old and she’s actually 26. So it’s possible, just maybe not with these recently announced ones since CS baby could only be 14 yrs at max.

That seems to all but confirm that they do. The issue is time because none of the actresses cast so far can pull off a 14 yr old if CS had a baby right away or younger as is more likely the case. It’s the same reason why many of us believed none of the actresses could be baby Robyn.

I think there are Alt Universes like you described like with the Wish Realm, where the characters are basically the same, but there are a ton of what if scenarios involved. But there are also Universes where entirely different versions of these characters exist that share nothing in common except maybe the same names and a few basic plot points. As an example, let’s say we were to get another version of Rapunzel in “New Enchanted Forest”, but she was much closer to the Tangled version, and was even accompanied by characters such as Flynn Rider and Mother Gothel. I hope they somehow address this on screen, cause I would imagine Henry would be as confused as we are, the moment he meets the new Cinderella/his future wife. “But wait, you can’t be Cinderella. I already met Cinderella, and she was a completely different person.”
Yes, exactly. There needs to be some serious world building going on this season because for Henry to not even blink at the whole “other Cinderella” thing would be extremely weird.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"I still think you guys have it wrong. I really think Hook, Regina and Rumple in Seattle ARE the same ones we knew, but cursed. The new Cinderella isn’t a carbon copy of the old Cinderella, but an entirely different version altogether. It’s like how there are different adaptations of all these stories throughout the centuries, and they even compared it to the Disney animated films vs. their live action remakes. They even said they would explain what happened to Hook in episode 2. I think this would also explain one of the biggest questions in the entire series: How were the events of stories Snow White occurring concurrently with 1970s/1980s Land Without Magic, when those stories had already existed in the Land Without Magic for a long time prior? The answer is that it wasn’t necessarily the 1st versions of those stories. Stories are retold and changed several times throughout history, after all. It’s a convoluted confusing mess, but I think there is some logic behind this.
I think if that’s the direction they are going then it’s fairly smart if really convoluted and messy at the same time. @dontstopbelievn was saying the same thing as I was reading her the news so you two might be on to something.
