ParticipantGuest starring in this episode are Mekia Cox as Tiana/Sabine
Interesting. I thought she was being upped to a series regular for this episode. I guess not.

ParticipantSo Eliose Gardener is his daughter’s name. With that being 7×07’s title we must be getting that story pretty early.
Does this also mean that the chess scene between him and Tilly/Alice was a red herring?
I kind of hope so. Otherwise that scene was too painfully obvious.

ParticipantMy big question is why Rumple didn’t die at the hands of Alice. It seems at some point Rumple must have known the curse was happening and told Alice she will have to shoot him so he could die…but I still have so many questions. Why is she the “guardian?” How did Rumple know that’s what needed to be done? How does the guardian get picked? Will Alice become the dark one next? I guess not right because Belle died but then shouldn’t have Rumple died when Alice shot him then? He saw Belle briefly but then he woke up. Anybody have more clarity on this?
Yeah, there’s definitely a lot of questions surrounding this “guardian” and such. My thought is that Rumple told Alice to try to jog his memories with the tea cup first. If that didn’t work, he told her to shoot him. When he didn’t die, because he’s immortal as the Dark One, that would jog his memories for sure.

ParticipantI wonder if 7×11 will air on Dec. 15, with 7×10 on Dec. 8th, or not until the Spring.
I suspect 711 won’t air until January or March, depending how they schedule the hiatus this year. The main reason is the episode title also happens to be the name of a Bruce Springsteen song, and it’s been a tradition for them to name the Mid-Season premiere titles after Springsteen songs since Season 3.
The latest TV Line article just confirmed your suspicion. 7×10 is our winter finale.

ParticipantLucy’s skeleton costume may have been a Day of the Dead reference. It works out-of-universe as a nod to the actress’ heritage and in-universe for its significance to the cursed personalities:
There’s also the Pixar movie “Coco” coming out in a few weeks themed around “The Day of the Dead.”

ParticipantI am glad for them to be done with the old characters and for this to at least be a little bit about Regina. The Tiana stuff seems pretty pointless, but we will see i guess maybe Tiana is more of a character then they have made her so far.
I hope she is. I’ve really liked what we’ve seen of her so far.

ParticipantAccording to the calendar on ABC’s press site, OUAT will air a 2 hour episode on November 17th. I’m guessing it’ll be 707 and 708:

ParticipantI think if the show can keep from going lower than 0.5 in live ratings the rest of the season, there’s a real possibility for a Season 8 considering Netflix and international viewing were taken heavily into account for S7’s renewal. I would think the more diverse cast this year could help with international viewing going up too.

ParticipantGideon trying to play a younger man was a little stunted and forced
It was actually a different actor though, right?
Pro: I have a new ship: Ivery.
I was thinking “Hivy,” but that is so much better haha
I’m just gonna say that this was the best ep the show has had in years. It wasn’t perfect, there’s stuff I can nitpick, but my major takeaway from this ep is that it was actually about the characters. It actually made me feel something because I believed what the characters were feeling. And that’s a feeling I haven’t had after an ep of this show in a good long while.
Very well said.
I still think it is weird that Victoria seems to care about Lucy. She is really her grandmother it seems, in more then name.
What makes you think Victoria actually cares for Lucy? I think that’s just how Ivy perceives it, or maybe Victoria “fake loves” Lucy just to upset Ivy.
I’m wondering if Lucy knows just enough to try and convince Henry but doesn’t really remember her life in the EF.
That makes sense. I’m interested to see how they show and explain that.
Nevertheless, it’d hard to not question why TLK never seemed to work for Rumbelle. Why didn’t it work? I’d always assumed that the reason TLK didn’t work was because Rumple’s true love was his dagger, but once he let go of it, his true love should have been Belle. So, it makes no sense why their kiss wouldn’t just free him of the dark one curse.
Exactly. I wish they had at least come up with a random reason for why it wasn’t working rather than just ignoring it. I hate when shows don’t follow their own rules and this is one they’ve been pretty consistent with up to this point.
