I liked this too, but I still don’t get why her shoe was left there.
I’m just assuming she left it there for him to find? Because earlier he’d told her about how “her story” is supposed to go, and that she leaves the shoe and that’s how her Prince finds her, and she laughed it off as being silly. So when she went to wait for him, and then someone came to abduct her or whatever, she remembered what he’d said and dropped the shoe as a “sign” for him to find when he got there.
That makes perfect sense. Thank you, that’s been bugging me.

I liked this too, but I still don’t get why her shoe was left there. Didn’t we see her ride the motorcycle and go to the ball with both her shoes on. I think dancing in glass slippers would be hard enough – dancing with only one on would be near impossible LOL
Also, looking at the calendar…we will probably have two weeks off: Nov 24th and Dec 1 (the 24th cause of American Thanksgiving/Black Friday and the 1st for AoS).
2 Weeks off would mean 7×10 wouldn’t air until Dec. 22 which seems late – unless they air 2 in one week at some point.
So based on the promo I have a new theory.
Okay so there’s two Hooks in that scene a present Hook and a future Hook that’s already gone through HH’s post curse and he’s traveling back to the past to be reunited with Emma. He and present Hook get into a fight and FH is asking all these questions because Emma dies in his timeline and FH warns present Hook of that and how Emma needs to leave otherwise her and the baby will die. So then the timeline is corrected. FH is reunited with Emma and they live HEA with their baby. Present Hook goes to HH’s and we all know what happens post curse. Present Hook becomes Future Hook essentially.
It’s basically like the scene in 3×21 the same Hook but in two different points in his life.
I think that’s a solid theory based on the promo and Colin’s comments in his interview. I’d prefer the two merge before going to HH, but I can still handle it since we’d still be watching the same Hook. I still don’t like it, but it would be better than just a clone.
Lots to process!
Liked:
– I agree with the consensus on Alice – very intriguing. Loved her line about not just having been to Wonderland but other places too. Lol.
– Lady Tremaine telling Cinderella “you never could finish her chores” when she backs out of killing the prince. I’m a sucker for a good villain line.
– Lady Tremaine is somewhat anti-magic – her weapon is instilling fear. It makes her a unique villain for the show. I’m interested to see what they do with that.
– Adult Henry – I though Andrew did a convincing job of playing Jared’s portrayal of the character grown up. Good voice inflections, facial expressions, reactions, etc that matched.
– Cinderella pointing out how silly it would be to find someone with just a shoe since so many people have the same shoe size. Lol
– Henry can return home – to Storybrooke? every night if I understand correctly. That’s a cool twist. I also liked that he decided not to go through the portal but stay behind for Cindy. I figured he’d go through and she’d show up a few seconds late so they surprised me.
– Twist that Cindy’s Prince was a villain
– Hook appears to have his memories – however I’m not sure I like how that’s going to play out next week based on the promo.
– Tiana and her frog legs comment! Excited to see more of her.
– Henry’s still an author and his book is S1-6 of the show.
– I like the aspect that not everyone in town is a fairytale character. I hope they play with that as a mystery element.
Disliked:
– I really hope Rumple stays “redeemed” since his cursed persona is shady. Let’s please not play the Rumple flip flop game anymore – it’s been old for 3 seasons now.
– Aside from her one snark line, Lady Tremaine needs to be more menacing. If she’s all about fear, make me fear her.
– Henry and Cinderella’s “meet-cute” didn’t seem quite as convincing as it should have. A&E compared it to the Charmings’ first encounter, but it wasn’t as believable to me – there’s potential though.
– Couldn’t we have done something different with the fairy godmother this time?
– The police station in HH seems inept and possibly corrupt – this along with gentrification are such touchy subjects. I don’t think the writers can handle them appropriately.
– Didn’t Cinderella go to the ball with both shoes on? So why was there one glass slipper left behind at the crash site for Henry to find?
– Promo showing two Hooks. I really hope this will be better than I think it will be.
Overall, it wasn’t an “amazing” premiere, but there was still plenty for me to want to tune in next week.

Yeaaaaaaaaah. I think she’s Belle and Rumple’s daughter.
That’s what I thought too, though that seems early in the season for a reveal like that.
I’m already intrigued by her character.
Points that Stuck Out to Me:
– She’s an orphan looking for family
– She’s strikes a friendship with Hook, not just Rumple
– “Episode 4 is a big one for her”
– Interesting she purposely chose not to watch OUATiW so it didn’t
influence her version of the character I think.
– She’s not sure if her flashback scenes recorded thus far were in
Wonderland or EF – strange
– LOL with her filming with the uncooperative rabbit. I hope that ends up
on the S7 outtakes.Lol you guys get on the time line portion and here I am getting all misty eyed because Mekia talked about how she wanted to be a Disney princess at Disney however had no roles to addition for.
That seriously hit home because I can relate to the struggles of being a POC who loves sci-fi-fantasy however seldom saw characters who resemble her.
Either way Mekia sounds absolutely adorable and I really want to see how she brings Tiana to life

side note: Wonders if rumple will be her Gator. Since he is the crocodile.
Yes! How awesome for her! Hopefully one day there will be many roles for little girls like her to aspire to portray in the parks.

I’m fairly certain that this is an entirely different Anastasia than the Wonderland Anastasia. If it is the same one, they’d have a serious timeline issue on their hands. Also without spoilers, something happens in the S6 premiere which contradicts something that was said in Wonderland.
I assume you mean S7, not S6, premiere. It’s just bizarre that they tried incorporating the Cinderella story/characters into OUAT in Wonderland, and now with these new iterations of characters in S7, out of everything they could have picked to redo they chose Alice and Cinderella characters. It’s almost like adding insult to injury.
