Vladimir Ruzich is very tall, dark, and very handsome like Colin O’Donoghue is, but I agree that he does have more of a Mr. Gold vibe about him (what with his tailored suit). Also, Gabrielle Anwar certainly has a S1 Mayor Mills look about her. It’s basically a rehash of S1. *Lather, rinse, repeat*

No, but seriously, her dress looks mildly similar to the one from the live action Disney movie. I wonder if that’s intentional. Not a lot like it, but similar. Hmm.
Someone else already mentioned too, that maybe Ana is from this version of Cinderella. Bringing back her and Will as regulars would be awesome in my opinion, but overall this is just such a bizarre choice to me. Having Cinderella 2.0 is one one thing since we only saw the first one in 4 episodes, but are they going to have a new Snow, Rumple, Evil Queen, Wicked Witch, Cruella, Pan, etc? I just can’t see the audience going for that.
I think it’s so silly that the writers have basically run out of ideas but that they chose to persist with the show rather than simply end it. They chose to re-set the show but with the same old memory-erasing curse and re-cast the same old Disney characters but with different actors. I get that it’s basically a parallel universe, but it seems really boring to me. Why go the route of Cinderella when there are still plenty of other fairy-tale characters, legends, and folklore to draw from? Why not make Tiana the main princess since we haven’t seen her? The writers could have introduced a Spanish or Russian fairy-tale or something new. They could have kept Violet as a new, original character or introduced someone else as Lucy’s mother. *sigh*
Completely agree. There is SO much untapped literary and Disney material to pull from. I don’t want a different Cinderella, or Red Riding Hood, or Peter Pan – their stories have already been established in the OUAT universe. Now people are going to be constantly comparing the new version of the character to the old.
I thought it was confirmed, but i don’t remember where. There were a bunch of articles at the time.

“A Pirate’s Life for Me” is actually from the original Pirates of the Caribbean theme park attraction at Disneyland/Disney World.
Right, I misspoke – thank you for correcting me. Yo Ho (A Pirate’s Life) is from Pirates of the Caribbean and the one most people think of and are familiar with. Just, “A Pirate’s Life” is from Disney’s Peter Pan. “A Pirate’s Life” is more obscure, but it’s at least possible the title is referencing it.
