So “Breadcrumbs” probably won’t feature a new Hansel and Gretel then…unless Hansel and Gretel are seafaring pirates…somehow…LOL. This show has done weirder things.
I do find it interesting though to have a totally real life character being a supporting character in the show possibly, during or after finding out the truth about all fairytales and magic, realizing he gonna marry a wicked witch and join into a very mixed fairytale family. In a way unless I’m forgetting, it’s the first time we have a character that’s just a regular human guy in real life with absolute no fairytale, cursed, from a story, or legend, science, magic or Disney connection that isn’t background or one episode guy either and see how that plays in the show
The only male character I can think that fits your description would be Greg/Owen from S2.

Wow. That’s pretty sad. It would be nice to think they were misquoted…but probably not.
Forgot to mention: thought for sure A and E would write this one since it’s the 150th. Actually, it’s a little odd that they’ve barely written anything this season (at least stuff that they take full credit for, I’m sure they have a hand in all the episodes no matter which team of writers gets the final acknowledgment). They used to do premiere, middle, arc finale. Honestly, I’m a little suspicious that they’re held up somewhere writing 721/722 under the impression that it’s likely their series finale.
It is super strange Adam and Eddy have only written 2 of the 17 scripts released so far for the season.
I wonder if this is another hint that they are getting cancelled. They know that are going out so they are willing to give a director credit to Lana. Though, I do think that Jennifer Morrison wanted to be a producer and have more creative control of her character and not to just direct a single episode. We will probably never know for sure though.
It could be a hint of the end, but I would think Lana would have started working on this before Channing Dungey’s “cautiously optimistic” comment. Or does the director not have much of a say as to the script – I don’t know how these things work ??♂️
Congrats to Lana! That’s very cool. This is the shows 150th episode, as well.
(Also, I must admit a bit of surprise given that seemingly one of the reasons JMo left was to pursue directing over acting)
That is awesome for Lana! ??. I wonder if they gave JMo the opportunity to direct an episode if she stayed, but she still declined because it wasn’t enough.
Maybe this episode will reveal the identity of the guardian and how they were “chosen” – their backstory.
Hansel and Gretel’s witch being one of the witches, if they are still doing that. I don’t even get what the plot of the next arc is going to be since they might be getting rid of Drizella.
New Hansel, Gretel, and witch makes a lot of sense given the coming witches. I could see them having Hansel and Gretel be older teens or adults this time around. They didn’t use the “breadcrumbs” aspect of the story last time, so they can use that now.
Well my first thought was Hansel and Gretel but I don’t recall them being part of the new universe (though I suppose this could be like True North–a one off–but it seems a bit late in the game for that so probably not). Otherwise, no idea.
Yeah, new Hansel and Gretel were my first though too. Perhaps it could also be a Cinderella-centric referencing her feeding her animal friends? Could be a stretch, but it’s possible.
