ParticipantThe Ultimate OUAT Episode Showdown – Round 1 Poll is Live!
[adrotate group="5"]ry4christ
ParticipantHi all. Thank you to everyone who expressed interest. I think this will be a lot of fun! Here’s the rundown. Also, since we have a smaller group of us doing this for now, I’ve changed a few things:
1. Vote for your Top 20 FAVORITE Episodes – I know this will be challenging! The 20 episodes with the FEWEST number of votes will be eliminated. Any episodes receiving 0 votes will be eliminated for the next round, even if that number is higher than 20.
2. The first round’s poll will be open for 3 days – 72 hours – since there’s such a large number of choices! I know I will have to do some thinking. When the poll closes, I will post the results (which will have been hidden to all of us until then), and begin the next one.
3. Please post predictions and discuss below! You are welcome to reveal some, or all of your votes, but you do not have to do so!
Let’s give this a whirl! Poll will be posted below.

ParticipantAwesome! That’s 4 of us. Anyone else interested as well?

ParticipantSo we would only be voting to SAVE our favorite episodes yes? no down voting? I’d love to participate in a save vote, but I would hate to get mired into a down voting war. That kind of nonsense sucks all the fun out of stuff like this.
Yes voting to save episodes. I agree down voting things will just become a depressing critical bleh. Lol. I’m hoping this will highlight what we love about OUAT, not what we hate.
I’m down for this, but wouldn’t It be easier to use one of those, like, online polling or survey websites to tally all the votes for people participating instead of you getting all those messages? just a suggestion
Excellent suggestion. I’ll look into how to set that up.

Participant*sigh* Guys, I specifically made this thread to focus on the potential POSITIVES of Season 7. Can we please keep the negativity to a minimum? It defeats the purpose of this thread, and it’s going offtopic. I specifically stated this at the start of the thread:
We all have mixed feelings regarding Season 7, but I would like to take this thread to fully focus on just the potential positives. So let’s keep the “They’re losing too many cast members, it’s gonna be terrible”, “they’ll ruin all the happy endings” or “the ratings are going to crash” nonsense out of this. We’ve already had plenty of other threads to vent about that.
Sorry for my previous post above this one. My phone was spazzing out and it was an accident. Someone can delete it – I wasn’t sure how to.
Thank you MatthewPaul. I was just going to say this before you posted. The negative criticism is valid and someone can even make a thread titled, “Potential NEGATIVES for S7” if they want to. We all realize these are POTENTIAL positives that may or may not come to pass. I was coming to this thread specifically to share excitement for S7 and what could be great about it, but now I can’t even do that 🙁

ParticipantI thought thedarkonedearie made an excellent point in another thread. A&E are indeed capable of writing a compelling, focused story with a beginning, middle, and end as evidenced by OUAT in Wonderland. They also did this in S1 and 3A for example, in my opinion. Hopefully A&E realize this season could very well be their last, so they may be more likely to have the right storytelling we’ve seen from them before. This is a major potential positive for S7 in my opinion.

ParticipantBesides hows your track record going when it comes to the show? Aren’t you always wrong, lol.
This bullying and belittling HAS to stop. I’m not a mod, but I know it is not tolerated here.

Participanti think itll be half and half. The first half will have them be in their new cursed personas with Henry trying to get them to remember who they are and break the curse, etc, and the second half will see it broken and e veryone kicking it into high gear to defeat whatever villain is around town. I think the epic quest is the present day stuff. Or else be set in the time before Lucy was born to explain how all this ended up the way it did.
I like the half and half idea. The epic quest could be in flashbacks in 7A and come into the present with the curse broken in 7B.

ParticipantDo we know that the returning actors will play the same characters?
We know there will be a new curse and thus new cursed identities, so there’s that. But I’m sure its the same Regina, Hook, and Gold has we have been following from the past up until now.
Unless they want some kind of plot twist. Or something. But I doubt it. This show is complicated enough as it is.

“After six seasons, the residents of the enchanted forest face their greatest challenge yet as The Evil Queen, Captain Hook and Rumplestiltskin join forces with a grown up Henry Mills and his daughter Lucy on an epic quest to once again bring hope to their world and ours.”
Everyone on an epic quest sounds like a lot of fun! I am confused how Rumple, Regina, and Hook’s new identities fit into this. Maybe the epic quest is in the flashbacks? That would be fun.
