I’m very confused as to how Hook, Regina, and Rumple have “new identities,” but also team up with Henry and Lucy. If the three returnees are cursed with new identities, how can they team up with Henry and Lucy? Maybe we’ll see the team-up in flashbacks? Or the memory erasing curse will be broken right away?
[adrotate group="5"]The S7 pitch has not been met with positivity anywhere in the GA and on social media, especially when news broke out of how many people were leaving.
Many people enjoy complaining on social media just for the heck of it. Just because people say they won’t watch next season doesn’t necessarily mean they won’t still tune into the premiere, and enjoy it enough to keep watching. I’ve also been on Facebook, Reddit, comment sections of articles, and seen a mixed response to the S7 renewal. Some hate the idea, some are on the fence, and some are thrilled. That’s evident on this forum alone, and WE are a part of the GA.
T.V. Show renewal isn’t an exact science though. Sometimes networks renew shows just because they like them despite low ratings. With DVR, streaming services, and international broadcast deals, there are just too many factors to definitively state the show won’t be renewed for a Season 8. The decision to cancel or not is a whole year from now. We just have to wait and see.
Well it’s definitely be the final due to the horrendous ratings it’s gonna get I imagine. Hope they don’t manage to tick off their remaining fanbases with this stupid curse crud.
I don’t think they’re gonna wreck the last 6 years just delay the villains happy endings an unnecessary season more.
I think a Season 8 is very possible for several reasons, some of which others have already mentioned:
– With the show moving to Friday’s the ratings threshold for cancellation is lower now.
– Many people catch up on their DVR’ed shows on the weekends so the Live +3 ratings may improve – something the networks put much more stock in than before.
– It was revealed part of the decision to renew the show was based on its high viewings on Netflix. This very well may continue, especially if people want to see the conclusion for the storyline of S1-6, especially for the exiting cast members.
– With a largely new cast and writers, the show may regain its freshness and creativity and gain a bigger following again.
Yes, the season may completely tank, but it also may not. We literally won’t know until next season airs. I want to focus on the fact that we DO get a S7 at all. My goal, and I think the goal of many on this forum is to hope for the best and have fun predicting what next season will look like. Let’s keep this forum a positive, uplifting community! 🙂
Reading it again, maybe she means she talked to Adam or Eddy and they said S7 is the last season, but she doesn’t believe them? Because they’ve claimed “final season” before? I don’t know… o_O

Yeah and A&E said there would be more regulars. My vote is Keegan Connor Tracy as the Blue Fairy as the Big Bad for S7! I know Sneaky Blue is likely never going to happen, but it was strange Tiger Lily, who apparently became a fairy again, interacted with Lucy.
They need to treat S7 like they did OUAT in Wonderland. Write a complete story for the season with a definite beginning, middle, and end. That way, there’s closure if they get canceled. If they get renewed, they can start a new adventure with Adult Henry, the other new characters, and possibly Regina, Rumple, and Hook.
Yes, the show has established time and time again that True Love’s Kiss can break any CURSE (but they didn’t even always follow that), but that it couldn’t bring back the dead. And yet that seems to be what happened. I can halfway buy Henry’s kiss to Emma – that her magic prevented her from actually dying and the kiss’s magic brought her back. But I’m pretty sure a beanstalk falling on you doesn’t magically damage you, it should kill you.
“New Identities?” Does that mean Hook, Regina, and Rumple have new FakeCursed! memories? I assume they brought these people back for S7 to have familiar, well-loved characters. If they have “new identities” they won’t be the characters we know with all of their development from the past 5-6 seasons. I hope this isn’t what it sounds like…
The only way I would like this is if we’re still seeing flack backs or flash forwards post the S6 finale of Regina, Rumple, and Hook.
