I think this could also focus on the Ella/Drizella/Anastasia dynamic in flashbacks. I really enjoyed “One Little Tear,” but we needs some blanks filled in to further show and explain Drizella’s hate for her sisters and her relationship with her mother.

It’s nice to see channel heads like Dungey are starting to understood how the tv viewing landscape has changed so much. Based on her comments here, I’d venture to say as long as A&E have a decent storyline planned and at least one of the older cast stays, we’re getting a Season 8. Whether we should get a Season 8… I, like many of you, think the show could have ended in a satisfactory way about 4 years ago. But as long as they keep making it and I keep enjoying it, I’ll watch it, and right now I’m enjoying it.

The new game show Child Support premiered with a 0.9 in OUAT’s slot last night

I think Child Support is going to crash and burn with next week’s ratings. I love gameshows, and shows like Master Chef Jr., or Little Big Shots, and I thought it was pretty uninspired. The kids who help the contestant aren’t even there in person, and it’s one of those gameshows that’s anti-climactic where the top amount you can win keeps going down the more questions you get wrong. OUAT may be over, but I don’t think this show will contribute to that.

    Isn’t this just Gothel?

Maybe it’s Dr. Facilier going after Tiana. Based on spoilers, perhaps we’ll see they met again in the past and he has a vendetta against her.

Or her father. He did want his medal. I suspect that medal thing is magic.

That’s a good thought too. I could definitely see the medal coming back into play. Also OUAT often likes to go a generation (or two) back from the well-known characters. Tiana’s dad could have another fairytale identity.

She’s auditioning for pilot season? If this is true, it could mean either her character is being written out which I agree kranen, is very sad, or the actors and actresses have been told the show is ending with this season, so they know they can move on to other projects.

Yeah, I thought they meant actual Cupid at first. Based on the wording, I’m guessing actual Cupid will cause Regina to fall in love with someone else and maybe there’ll be a connection to her stealing his arrow last season in “Page 23.”

May we not forget Hart Archer from good morning Storybrooke

From the article writer, Matt M in the comment section:

The Cupid line was just a (supremely) clever intro (or “lede,” as we say in the biz). No character is being added.

Well that’s disappointing. He could have been a fun “one-off” character. I kind of miss those characters we had in S1 like Hansel and Gretel, Jefferson, and Cinderella. They helped round out the show’s world.

The Winter TCAs are in a few weeks; OUAT’s panel is going to be on January 8th. If ABC wanted to make an announcement about S7 being the final one, they could potentially do it there. I’d hope they would announce it months ahead of time to ride out the hype of “the final season”

    Quote

Agreed. I assume A&E at least know at this point, since I recall they knew about getting a seventh season by November of last year.

“The Stable Boy” and “Dreamcatcher” just both felt like Espensodes.

Agreed! They definitely do. I wonder how much the writers give input on episodes that aren’t “theirs.” Have they ever showed behind the scenes of the writing process on any of the season DVD/Blu-ray’s?
