I should add that if my above post turns out to be more or less the truth, boy does that makes Blue look even worse. ‘Give up the baby or else. Oh you choose power? Good. Now stand aside while I drop your sweet innocent baby into the arms of your not so sweet and innocent husband. Don’t worry I’m sure Malcolm will make a great dad.’ Yikes.
Yeah for sure. This is the writer’s last chance for Sneaky Blue. I would LOVE if the Final Battle was against the “Original Power” instead of the Black Fairy. The Black Fairy is a GREAT villain, but that would be such a good twist.
[adrotate group="5"]ry4christParticipant“If the show is renewed for season 7, do you feel like there’s more Zelena story to tell?
Yeah, definitely.”Interesting. This interview was a few months ago right after the episode was filmed, but does it mean Rebecca knows she’ll be back if the show is renewed?
ry4christParticipant(or did she just pull the object through ala Jefferson’s hat with the poisoned apple?)
That’s what I thought she did.
That makes sense. I doesn’t really make sense that she would be powerful enough to create an actual portal with her own magic since she couldn’t in 5×01, although this episode seemed to insinuate she could. Or maybe fairy crystals coupled with powerful enough magic can open portals now too (rolls eyes lol)
ry4christParticipantcan’t believe they didn’t finish his story, I was expecting Zelena to return to OZ (since she seems to be able to travel there without a problem) find the statue of Stanum and put the heart in his chest. This would have made the flashbacks at least relevant and even more then Zelena and Robyn could have stayed in OZ and Zelena and Stanum could have continued their friendship and she could have made other friendships.
I don’t think it would make sense for her to expect to have a future in Oz since she was just back there ruling last season when she put Dorothy to sleep, right? If she actually went to Oz to get the Crimson Heart (or did she just pull the object through ala Jefferson’s hat with the poisoned apple?), she didn’t bother to bring the Tin Man back with her to finally save him? What good is the heart doing in a box? I agree, it would have made her redemption more complete. I almost wonder if there was a cut scene. Zelena even said to Stanum, “Maybe Dorothy will come back and save you.” It would have been very OUAT-esque for Zelena to be the one to come back and save him in her “redemption” episode.
ry4christParticipantIt was fun to meet the Tin Man and see him with young Zelena, but their friendship was REALLY under developed. Even a throw away line that established they had been good friends for a long time after their first meeting would’ve helped. I an assume that they became good friends after that and spent time together, but that’s just my assumption. Otherwise, they just met one time, and he expects the WICKED Witch of the West to want to help him?
ry4christParticipantMaybe it’s just that Blue gave Black a choice between love (baby Rumpie) and power (fairy wings) and she chose the power (Once loves to draw parallels). Then the bitterness turns her evil and maybe fairy Tigerlily tells her a about a magic whatever that can fix things and Black ends up evil as a result.
So does the Black Fairy feel bad about abandoning Rumple? I could maybe see that from tonight’s closing scene, but before she’s always seemed to be callous to it. But if she doesn’t feel bad, why can’t Rumple ever know her secret? I’m hoping for something more complicated than her just choosing power over him and failing at trying to fix it.
ry4christParticipantThat’s interesting since she has a past connection with Tiger Lily and dream catchers are Native American. I think it could be a hint they’re related somehow.
I thought of that too but I’m not so sure since in a recent hot seat A and E did say that they wouldn’t be adding any new members to the family tree. So whatever Tiger Lily is to this whole shebang, I don’t think she’s family.
Very good point. I’d forgotten they’d said that. I’m surprised they actually told us that.
ry4christParticipant
Her earrings are dreamcatchers.
She’s covered in them. @phee noticed it the first episode we met her for real.

ry4christParticipantJanie Murray is doing SUCH a great job with her role. I haven’t enjoyed a villain this much since Cruella in S4.
I think the fact that The Black Fairy is an original OUAT character helps her as well. We have nothing to compare it to.
Good point. I was a big fan of Cora too even before we knew for sure she was the Queen of Hearts, and the miller’s daughter from the original Rumplestiltskin story.
ry4christParticipantMaybe Rumple will give up his dark one magic to try and save Gideon.
This would make a lot of narrative sense. We’ve already seen Rumple give up his life to save his family in S3, but I think him giving up magic and continuing to have to live without it would be a greater sacrifice. The’ve always shown it to be his crutch. S1 showed Rumple choosing magic over his son, so it would make sense for them to set up his full “redemption” to be have to make a choice and choosing his son over magic this time.
