I suppose it depends on if you follow Neal or Henry. If we’re going with Neal then The Black Fairy is Emma’s sort of but not really grandmother-in-law. If it’s Henry, then we’d add a great.

It seemed implied at the end of S3 that all of the lost boys came back to Storybrooke with the Nevengers, didn’t it?
I have the same fear. This is multiple stories in multiple lands.
I hope I’m wrong and enjoy this and next week’s eps, but I think I’d rather devote more time to Gideon’s backstory and spread all of this plot over two episodes, rather than getting another Snowing flashback next week. I actually enjoyed “Heartless.” Let’s leave it there.

It seems like they have too much to cover in this episode: Henry’s Author powers, Hook and Black Beard, Emma, Gideon, and the spider creature, and Gideon’s backstory. I’m most interested in the latter, but how much time can they devote to it while juggling 3 other plot lines?
The script teases are really lacking sometimes… A “how are you” doesn’t exactly get me excited for the episode…
Thanks for doing the research TheWatcher. I’d forgotten about Ariel and Poseidon (although you would think gods would be able to create their own portals to traverse realms).
Rump could have threatened a mermaid or two back in his day to open a portal for him, but ran afoul of the REAL sea witch who told him to back off so he stopped. That’s my headcannon now.
I like this. That’s what I’m going with too.
Based on the description of Hook’s plot line in the synopsis, I’m thinking the scenes of him and Blackbeard jumping into the portal and being attacked will be at the end of the episode, so that Tiger Lily can reveal herself as their leader in the following episode since she isn’t in this one. So I think this coming Sunday’s Hook scenes will be mostly him gaining Blacckbeard’s assistance.
– Ariel gives Hook a shell so he can talk to her? SHE CAN CREATE PORTALS! SHE CAN GET YOU TO HER! Uhhhhh.
Daniel mentioned this in the initial reactions too, but has it ever been established that mermaids actually “create” portals that just anyone can go through like with the beans? I think mermaids can traverse realms somehow, but they can’t take people with them.
